This was such a great episode/storyline! I was with my family out camping in the mountains ⛰. I got separated and while desperately looking for my family I got very very lost. I must’ve been around 6-7 and I cried out and called and called. But no answer. I got so extremely scared. It go to dark, and i still hadn’t been found. There were mountain lions and bears among other wild animals out there. I was finally found when I stood atop a big boulder and called and called and called, finally I got found, I cried and cried in relief. It really was an extremely scary experience. All in all, Bobby and Cindy handled it very well!
@@THECARS7879the kids were getting older and the storylines were getting stale by the middle of the final season. They brought Oliver on to support what was a dying show, but it wasn’t enough, and the show was canceled.
Peter's just the epitome of optimism: "They'll freeze out here, we'll never find them, they'll fall off a cliff. I hope they didn't run into a mountain lion." LMAO
I know right. I was worried for them since it was a Two Parter. Also I remember The Pilot Episode of The Wonder Years where Kevin Arnold was 32 in 1988 and talked about how in 1968 kids could still go for a long walk without fear of ending up on a Milk Carton. So true to life.
Life was simpler then. No sunscreen. No scorpions. No snakes. Teams of mules to carry your family around along with supplies. No other people around other than native American children wanting to escape their life to become astronauts.
@james ogrady To be honest I am from the 90's and grew up without cable but I will look it up. My girlfriend told me about The Brady Bunch I like TV shows more then movies. I never really watched TV shows because I grew up without TV and the reason I like TV shows more is because TV shows go on with different episodes while a movie is the same thing all the time.
There should be some type of protocol for people who get lost in the Grand Canyon. Or at least for visitors to have a guide or chaperone with them at all times
Every time the Bradys went on a trip they met wirh tradgedy. Grand Canyon. Hawaii with the bad luck idol and Vincent Price. The amusement park where Jan lost Mike's architectural plans. The only trip they took where they didn't have bad luck was the trip on Mr Phillips' boat.
[Weeks later, in a Los Angeles courtroom] Attorney: Mr.Bobby Brady, do you still maintain that your actions on July 25th were somehow justified? Bobby: What would you have done? None of you can understand because none of you were there!
If you had been a little boy in the innocent world we lived in around 1970-71 you would have been really worried too, like I was at that time , 6-7 years old or a little older at the time this came out. Life was certainly different for little kids, as well as television was back then. We were all worried.
If you ever noticed when the Brady's were locked in that jail cell by that old man (Jim Backus,) they used 2 different purses in that scene to pull in the jail key

Bradys lost the grand canyon. Easy pickins for the cougars and the coyotes. Now THAT would have been exciting. It would have been must see TV...
These child actors were never found, and had to be replaced à la paul McCartney. That's why cindy's caracter wore braids inater seasons: the new actor did not want to wear ringlets.
Instead of the Indian kid showing them how to get back to their camp a better ending would’ve been Bobby and Cindy getting devoured by a pack of wolves.

Where did they take dumps at home? There was no toilet in the bathroom.
