This is the only way I'm able to visit anymore. Thank you so much for sharing beauty from there with so many of us, To see again these lovely Gardens has been a great blessing, one to remember and treasure. Wishing you all happiness and peaceful times. VCS
In tthe dark times we are experiencing it is comforting to view such inspiring work . Not only the actual garden but also the philosophy of the people who cae for this garden. I hope to visit on day! Thank you for posting .
Yes please - definitely more footage of the beautiful gardens. The rest of the world (I'm in Australia) would not see it otherwise due to the COVID madness the world has at the moment ..
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the Japanese Garden in three seasons. (not winter) The spring is my favorite but all the seasons are all so very beautiful! This is a great garden to meditate or anything than involves peace and tranquillity. Thank you Sir for loving this garden! Your attention to detail does not go unnoticed.
Lovely, poignant tour of this jewel of a garden. It makes me miss it even more than before. Thanks to devoted gardeners and administrators who care for the garden until we all can share it again.
Thank you so very much. Was a joy to walk in the garden with you. Looking forward to more videos and for the Japanese Garden to Open when it is the right time for all. Again Thank you so very much.
Thank you for the visit of last spring. I forwarded this link to my son who grew up visiting the garden with great glee. He who now has a two-year-old daughter he wants to bring to the garden. I always enjoy seeing the careful work that you all are doing for the city and the world. Yes, please make more films like this.
I just visited the garden at 3:30pm yesterday! It's a magical place as always but especially beautiful with colors at this time of year. This was my first year hitting the right time to see fall colors, first time in 20 years!!! Then, my friend reminded me of this footage today. I appreciate so much for the work by Uchiyama-san, Nakanishi-san, and all staff and volunteers. Thanks you. ありがとうございます。
I appreciate the beauty and the time that it took to put the video together. I am sad that I can not be at the garden this spring but I want to thank you for taking the time to bring it to us.
Thank you so much for sharing the garden. It was a thoughtful offering to those of us who love the garden and can't wait to visit again. I am watching for the blooming of the irises, a highlight of the year! Interesting how early it is predicted to be in 2020. Gratitude to all of you care taking this special place.
Thank you--lovely to see the gardens we are missing so. Glad to see how thoughtfully and beautifully it is being maintained, with such a small and dedicated staff!
Quite a wonderful respite from my four walls. I love the views, but the details of maintenance are fascinating. I hope we see you raking the the stones in the gardens!
THANK YOU for sharing this! Love the gardens and miss spending quiet afternoons here. Appreciate the thoughtful work of the gardeners and administrative staff who are working hard to maintain this treasure.
The garden is a treasure of the city. Any season, any weather, a display of color and sound expressly designed to please the eye and calm the mind. One of the best values in town for family fun, or a sublime romantic getaway. A work of art anyone can enjoy. Please put it on your list and discover your favorite seasons. Dress for the weather.
This was so wonderful. Thank you for showing us this video. I miss the garden more than I can say and I hope to be back soon. This beautiful quiet garden is my very favorite place!
Thank you so very much for this lovely tour and Uchiyama-san's skillful and dedicated work in keeping the gardens perfect. We love the garden and can't wait until we can return again!
Hope he kept the beard! The gardens are so beautiful! I visited the Japanese garden in Seattle last week and can’t wait to visit yours! Such a peaceful places.
Thank you for giving the opportunity to see your stunning garden at a distance of 6,000 miles. You have a truly authentic garden that conveys the spirit of real Japanese gardens. A small question, which plants do you use for kokarikomi?
great idea, however you may want to consider working with a skilled videographer to really do the garden justice ... slowing down the camera movement would help tremendously ... as would early morning or evening light that is softer ... or shooting in the rain which brings out a special sensual quality unique to this garden, esp. in the stonework and foliage ... the atmosphere is essential, that is what you are photographing
Thanks for your patience with our amateur skills. Since the Garden closed to the public more than a month ago, we had to temporarily lay off 90% of our staff. It's just a handful of us left trying to maintain the organization while trying to share the Garden's tranquility at this strange time when it seems like people need it most. We know the videos aren't ideal but hope they will carry us all through until we are able to reopen the gates. Wishing you all the best.
Sincere appreciation for all you are doing, especially under these difficult circumstances. I hope to see more video vignettes from the garden as the seasons progress.
Thanks for posting, but it's important to pan your camera more slowing. Perhaps you could telephone your local Public Television station and ask someone for a quick lesson.
Is he wearing grounding socks or shoes? Japanese are so smart. Our bodies are electrical and need to be connected to the earth by wearing no shoes do to the rubber souls disconnecting us from the earth. Its like grounding a car in a way. Remember we are mostly water and like antennas so keep your electronics AWAY FROM YOUR BODY. GOD BLESS
Wow... !!! My best friend, thanks to you, I enjoyed watching... I'm proud of you for developing day by day.
This is the only way I'm able to visit anymore. Thank you so much for sharing beauty from there with so many of us, To see again these lovely Gardens has been a great blessing, one to remember and treasure. Wishing you all happiness and peaceful times. VCS
Excellent!!! Not much more relaxing and rewarding than being part of a nice garden. Thank you!

I've never visited the garden (as I live out of state) but thoroughly enjoyed the video and conversation.
What a blessing to view your videos. They bring great joy and ideas for my garden. I live near the “first” Portland (in Maine).
Yes please - definitely more footage of the beautiful gardens. The rest of the world (I'm in Australia) would not see it otherwise due to the COVID madness the world has at the moment ..
Love this garden and really appreciate your video with the Curator most interesting.

Aaaahhhhhh. That was serenely invigorating, and helps maintain the spirit in these times of distance from so much we need and love. Thank you, Aki!

Thank you Sylvia! We miss you and all of our dear volunteers.
Thumbs up. 👍 I am testing new gardening techniques. If I need advice may I ask?
Hi! Would you please share the link to the wallpaper video (of the waterfall) that was referred to in the video? Thanks!
absolutely! traveloregon.com/things-to-do/virtual-backgrounds-next-video-chat/
I couldn't see your Instagram Live program on conversations with your curators today. Will you be producing it as a video on your UA-cam channel?

Cut! -"don't use the term "stuck at home" just "at home". OK, take two.

The English speaking narrator is very annoying...
