So? This is the fifth time India has overtaken uk in the last 3 years. Once in 2019, once in 2020 than thrice in 2021. Also, how can beating uk be a proud achievement. China overtook uk in 2006. We are 15 years behind.

Gurgaon = Gurugram . Gao = Gram = a village.
It is a 5000years old ancient place. During the Mahabharta times, the Pandvas defeated a much larger army of th Kaurvas. The Pandavas were trained in military warfare by a Guru ( a respected teacher). Guru was Guru Dronacharya. Pandvas offered a village in gratitude to their Guru. ( Gurus are generally above the worldly possessions) .That village was named Guru + gaon.
I live in Gurgaon City. That village is still there. Nearby is a very old temple called Sheetla Mata temple. It is named after Guru Dronacharya 's wife.
This place is part of India's National Capital Region (NCR). It connected with Delhi Metro. Otherwise, it is part of a separate state called HARYANA. (It was earlier part of Punja). Gurgaon contributes 40% share of total revenue for Gurgaon State.
