Wow aside from the pitch, both very complex wash and solid stick definition for what they respectively are. Closing my eyes I wouldn't be able to say one was half the price of the other. I've listened on KRK 5s, KRK 6400 cans and crap iphone buds. As Drummer's review would say, "the Arborea is punching way above it's weight class !" But still def not a K or a Sabian HHX. I like to do what I call "my Wifey" test. I play both for her and see if she can tell the difference. 99% of the time she can't. However I've found in the context of a recorded song or live situation, the actual people listening would never say "ummm I don't like that song because the cymbals weren't Meinl Benny Greb Sand rides"...most people don't care and as far as the Arborea, def a usable intermediate cymbal...and considering i just spend a little over $500.00 Canadian for a Zil K Constantinople Crash/Ride, I'm willing to lose a bit of pedigree so I can afford my dogs Pedigree.
K wins, the complexity of the sound it's superior, but for the price, Arborea is really good too.
