Lots of this old stuff is still good stuff. There may have been little technique changes or just different words to explain the same things now. The world has changed so much since then. We’ve been at war for over 20 years now, and the teaching of this stuff has evolved. It’s also cool to see these guys thirty years younger than now. Ken doesn’t look as cranky - lol.
😳😐😐😑 I'm sure you MEANT to say, "DO you have the safety on or off when clearing a ROOM?"; right? *Sorry for that, my inner grammar Goblin apparently just HAD to chime in 🤣🤣🤦♂️ Well, Knut; personally, when I'm room clearing a building, I have my weapon in the "Ready" condition; meaning magazine inserted, round chambered, safety OFF. That said, I've a healthy bit of training/experience under my belt, and I am confident in my abilities; to include the ability to rapidly ascertain Positive Identification of threatening or non-threatening persons I encounter throughout the clearing process. Situation dictates, but if you've not the confidence in your training or experience to conduct the clearing as I've described; you any want to clear in condition 1 (Safety engaged)... but you'd better damned well be FAST in disengaging that safety!! Best thing you can do, is seek out quality training, and then practice, practice, practice! Best wishes to you and yours!
Seems like you would want the SMALLEST piece of the pie to be able to see you in the moment you open the door and are least prepared (i.e. one hand on the gun).

I remember the VHS disclaimers; graduated high school the year this was produced. There's a reason all of these gentlemen are overnight successes.
There is some very good information here. Many thanks for posting this!
I’m jealous of the ammo prices this era got to enjoy. Think of all the training that could get done.
Excellent!!
