Well all of us have their own problems for example me, in the last month i was thinking in comit suicide bc i was feeling that i was not enough good to be at this world and my existance was a waste of time and resources, i feel a little bit better now but you now that feeling continue and it can become worst anytime

To be quite honest, this video hits home to a further extent than I would've thought. My life has basically been a living nightmare since October 13th. I'm unemployed, I don't do well in school, my friends don't talk to me anymore, and everyone I turn to for help has basically dropped me the moment they pick me up. My friends don't help, my school counselor doesn't help, the crisis hotline hung up on me three times, and my therapist cancelled on me. I've been trying to keep my mind busy with schoolwork and games, but I don't find games fun anymore and my mental disabilities make focusing and understanding new concepts incredibly hard. For this same reason, Ive been incredibly bitter and unwelcoming to people. When I spent my 21st birthday alone, I heavily contemplated why I still choose to live. It was around that point that UA-cam started recommending vtuber clips to me. Their positivity and welcoming demeanor was the kick in the right direction I needed. For a multitude of reasons that I'll choose to not get into, I've grown a special attachment to Gura. She emanates this energy whenever she streams that makes me feel like I'm with friends. Her music has always made me happy and put a smile on my face. She has given me so much just by being herself. I only wish I could tell her all of the positive changes she's made on my life, but I know I can't because I don't have the money to do so. Maybe at least one of you guys will be able to read my message and relate to what I've said. Here's to Gura and all the other shrimps out there that she's quietly helped with their biggest struggles. I hope we can help her, even if it's only a fraction of a percent of how much she's helped us all.

I've rambled quite a lot and I laid this down very thick, so I do apologize for that.
Quite honestly, when the world around you is as cold, dark, and unforgiving as it can be, someone like Gura does so much more than make you happy. Currently, I'm still learning how to talk to people correctly without hurting them. Sadly, I've been the traumatic event in some poeple's lives because I'm that inept and out of touch with reality. To avoid that, I try every day to be like the people that make me happy. It's a struggle, but I hope to get there someday.

I would switch therapists, no fucking way you can't find anyone who will help you with your issues. Some therapists help people who killed or raped children (extreme I know but it's just an example) I don't know how bad your issues are, but someone should be available. Crisis hotlines are usually filled to the brim these times with covid and shit, try to look with the services available at your school for example. Suicide hotlines and crisis centers are your best friends if your thoughts get too dark or if you fear the worst. It can be though, but I refuse to believe that you can't go back to your once happy life. Stay positive, it gets better.

@@andresguerrero3347 exactly, they are there to entertain, have a good time with their viewers and all that, but some people idealize them too much, they are not there to save our lives and deal with our problems, i get that many times they can put a smile on our faces but it's just that, if someone is about to commit suicide that person needs to seek some profesional help, you cant put that responsability on this vtubers or any other streamer, it's not their job and some of them are around the age of 18.
@@shadow-bc4cu i don't think anyone is saying it's their responsibility. joao simply said that they have brought a lot of joy, more than what you would expect from an "idol", just by being themselves and sharing positivity voluntarily.
i'm not sure where the "they're not here to save lives" came from because of course they're not, and nobody said that in this thread (thread?). sure maybe _some_ people are too screwed up in the head and believe that, but there was none of that here.
let's just be thankful that most, if not all, of these girls are genuinely nice people.
The best part about Hololive is that they have no idea the little ways in which they help us just by having fun and talking with us.

I was in the same boat a couple months back. It's so good to know that other people's lives have been saved and improved by our shark. The world really is a brighter place with all of us in it, eh?
Gonna be real here, telling someone that they are the reason you didnt off yourself might sound endearing and wholesome, but you're suddenly putting a massive responsibility on that person, not everyone can handle that. Its one thing to say that someone made your day a lot better, but suddenly being told that your actions pulled someone from the brink suddenly makes you real self conscious about everything you say and do.
I've really seen it go both ways. I've seen a lot of youtubers say that sometimes messages like that are what kept them going when they were hit by hard times or started to doubt if they were doing anything worth while. It really just depends on the person and the place they themselves are in emotionally.

It's something a lot of creators struggle with and/or deal with - something you don't sign up for and something that the more naive creators are blindsided by - real people with real problems will often post things like "your videos are the reason I'm still alive" etc.
It's not fair to plant something heavy like that onto the creator - "So If I didn't make a video this week would this person have died? If I stop making videos are they going to still end themselves? What if they don't like my next video?" But it comes part-in-parcel in my opinion.

I think this really drives home the importance of community. All we can really do is pull together and watch out for one another. Instead of cutting someone down with a hateful remark, wish them a better tomorrow or reach out to them with a comforting statement. You never know what they're going through. Even if they act mean, there may be a reason for it deep down and the only way they know how to deal with it is by lashing out.
