  • Buck and Boost ... you may not be familiar with this term but here at Harmony Turbines, we are making our own solution to buck and boost the power that is being collected off our turbine. We couldn't find a good charge controller within our price range to aid in our testing and data gathering, so we took matters into our own hands. Chris explains in this video!
As we look to the future, we believe our Harmony turbines can be a real and viable part of the solution for the global energy crisis. If you believe this too and want to be a part of what we're doing, please consider investing! (www.startengine.com/harmony-turbines)
Thank you for following our journey and for your continued support. We are thankful for each and every one of you. We wouldn't be here without you and we take that to heart.
    Sincerely,
    ~The Harmony Turbines Team

“Migrated into a web of craziness” pretty much sums up the spirit of our time…. But you guys are one of the more positive aspects.

My father (RIP) designed guidance systems for guided missiles. Talk about a mess of wires! I think he would be proud of your progress and the detail you put in to your prototypes. Looking forward to when it all comes together.

Hi Chris. I'm curious why you aren't using a 3-phase generator at the turbine with windings to output high voltage AC? Bring the AC from the roof/tower to the power equipment area, where you would rectify and filter it into high-voltage DC and then just feed that into an efficient MPPT controller. By using higher voltage from the roof down to the charge controller at the batteries, you have lower losses. And even if voltage fluctuates, supplying only 5-10VDC higher than your charging voltage, the MPPT can handle this for you. Are you reinventing the wheel? Seems like controlling the furling, dialing in the mechanical coupling to the generator, and figuring out how to mass-produce the turbines is your highest value.
I'm rooting for you! We need a solution that is reliable and cost-effective for the individual property owner.

Found charging 12v lead batteries quite complex. Most chargers under charge because they read somewhere...

Just saw Trump talking about wind turbines and how they make the value of your home go down and they kill birds and I instantly thought of you guys. Your work is a piece of artwork. On aesthetics alone it's going to be a very popular piece to own. Better looking than solar panels on roof tops. Those things are ugly.
Remember it's Nintendo and Apple that made gaming and phone technology cool. Why? Because it had the "coolness" factor that their competition didn't have. If you guys can nail that, the coolness factor, you will be the Louis Vuitton of the wind turbine world.

Talk to One-Cycle Control in CA. They've already developed the tech to go from random frequency AC to DC at 98% efficiency.

I hope you also have an opportunity to try your system with inverters like the SolArk and test how it would integrate with solar. Because I think you will acknowledge that to be a total energy solution for the homeowner, they would need to have solar in addition to the wind turbine. I believe the turbine will be an important part of my system since at least around my area, the wind seems to pick up more at night and in the winter when solar input is at its lowest point.

Since you own the patents for the technology do you think you'll ever entertain the idea of licensing the design to a company that could build that same design 100 feet high for example?

I am sorry to be bunt, I really thought we would be pass garage/backyard technology, this looks like “I am not sure what to do now or next, so let’s throw out a lot of mumbo/jumbo (weekly) to try and show we know what we are doing”. I am shocked, would think this approach would in still faith with startup support investors. Come on Chris, stop trying to be a UA-cam influencer and apply your knowledge and expertise to develop this rooftop wind turbine to work for the masses. I truly believe in this product (why I am a startup investor) and see a market but I also see the window of opportunity starting to close. Don’t really need to see weekly testing and new approaches to the base concept, need to see “mile stones” achieved. I am starting to see this as weekly “excuses” instead of updates.

Hi @davidwilson2462 I'm sorry you are frustrated with the weekly updates. Luckily for Harmony, there are two of us here to help with non-development related duties, including videos and content management so that Chris's time can be focused on the development of our turbine and generator with our dev team. In general, companies don't show this amount of detail in their development road. Your shock could be because you've never been exposed to this middle part of the journey...the testing and iterative process needed to develop a product from scratch. We find that the majority of our community appreciates seeing the ins and outs of this journey and we find that investors typically understand this is not a quick investment, this will take time. They seem to appreciate seeing the regular updates rather than having radio silence for a lengthy period of time. This is UA-cam. You're watching because you're interested in what we're doing and hopeful that we'll have our product out soon; you're frustrated because it's taking longer than you'd like. Updates or not, the iterative and testing process will continue. Thank you for supporting our journey thus far; we hope it won't be too much longer before we have a product out in beta testing and then out in the market.
