Make some proper arguments about how they were close to killing WWE and I'll give my counter arguments and embarass tf out of you. So tell me how was AEW close to killing WWE? By beating their b grade weekly show NXT(which even tho they pushed as a third brand was nothing more than a devolpmental territory for the WWE)? Yeah AEW forced WWE to move NXT to tuesdays but that doesn't mean shit when you don't have the guts to compete against RAW or SmackDown which are the main shows of WWE. They had so much momentum going for them when they first started but even that time the thing wasn't that AEW was a legit threat or something, it was that WWE was under the regime of that tyrant named Vince McMahon who had absolutely ruined the quality of the product. WWE was making dogshit stories at that time which is a big reason why AEW gained so much momentum. Had WWE been under the current regime at that time things would have been different. And no HHH having control of NXT doesn't count. AEW was never a real threat to begin with. Their emphasis is very different from WWE and it's meant for a totally different fanbase which includes people who are more into the indie wrestling or were frustrated from WWE since it didn't appeal to them but these are still a minority. Most of the wrestling fans are more like entertainment or casual fans who were never ever going to see much appeal in AEW whatsoever. No matter how hard AEW tried they were never ever going to have most of the WWE fans on their side cuz AEW's appeal is totally different. If they had to kill WWE they would have get their fanbase on their side which was ver unlikely to ever happen. This is what WCW did during the monday night wars and they were the first and the only legit threat to WWE. But anyways we know how it turned out for WCW. Another thing is reach and popularity. U have no idea how massive WWE is. AEW can only imagine having the popularity that WWE has and the reach that they have in millions of household tv's all around the world. WWE's ratings were at an all time low during that period when AEW came to the scene. Back during the Attitude Era Raw was getting like 7-8 million viewership weekly. But does that mean WWE was dying? Absolutely NOT. From viewership point of view WWE were at an all time low but from the buisness perspective they were more successful than ever before and making more money than ever before and that is what matters. Their PPV's like WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam were still grossing million of dollars for them. They were making more money in a single day then AEW would make in a year with their Saudi deal(yeah yeah blood money it is but buisness is buisness). And you think AEW were going to kill WWE? LoL. The amount of money AEW was making with their top PPV events was significantly lower than WWE's top event. It's also funny that even NXT sometimes did manage to beat AEW in ratings when NXT is mostly just rookies who have been there for years whereas AEW had top former WWE stars and legends which ia funny if you ask me. Also did WWE ever mention AEW in their shows? Nope I would say rarely. On the other hand AEW was and is constantly taking shots at them and signing their former stars to stay relevant. Tony Khan is a son of a billionaire and are far richer than Vince McMahon. But Vince's investment in WWE was always significantly higher . There is no way TK would ever make such hugh investments even if he cried in front of his father and asked him for money. WWE was getting the best money making sponsorship deals, great media coverage and what not. AEW will never. Also while WWE's viewership at that time period were low in USA. They were at an all time high if we are speaking globally. From your country India alone WWE would get insane millions of views weekly and it's the 2nd most popular sports show after Cricket. WrestleMania is like among the 5 most watched shows every single year in INDIA and from what I know WWE absolutely dominates 3-6 sports channels there in India. Here I'm just speaking of a single country so ig u are smart enough to realise how big WWE is globally. U think AEW was ever going to turn into such a juggernaut? A BIG BIG BIG NO! You are low iq if you think that was ever possible. Not even in a thousand years would that ever happen. And then AEW just went downhill while WWE juat kept improving, getting bettwr viewership, making and breaking all time records, producing some of the most Highest grossing, most watched and successful events in wrestling history. AEW could only dream of ever achieving such landmarks. At this point most of the high iq people know thag it's over for AEW and there is no stopping WWE at this point which is at their absolute peak. Doesn't matter if AEW, TNA, NJPW and all those indie promotions join hands and form an Avengers kind of alliance they still wouldn't stand a chance. NO CHANCE IN HELL. WWE just keeps getting bigger and makes more and more money with each passing year. Every new year they break the all time records that they set a year prior and this trend is probably not gonna stop now. Even during that period when AEW came to the scene the actual threat to WWE was WWE itself like their bad booking, decisions and so on. Only WWE can kill itself at this point and not some indi promotion who has a lame ass booker like TK. That's how big WWE has became at this point. Also I haven't even said enough yet. I mean, I wouldn't go that far into saying AEW almost killed WWE. Probably WCW, but not AEW. AEW was a white hot new product, but had long ways to go even in ratings. Sure, Dynamite was beating NXT week by week, but compared to Raw and SmackDown's ratings, not even close. Both AEW and NXT struggle to break past 1M viewers during their head to head ratings war while Raw and SmackDown still had 2 or 3M viewers fluctuate back and forth (Yes, even during the COVID Era).

It's funny how things change in a span of a year. When the thing with Hangman and Jack Perry happened a large number of people jumped to hate on CM Punk. AEW managed to shift this sentiment to make people hate them instead. I understand that Tony Khan is not fit to be a leader but isn't there someone in the company to reason him?
