With the new I'd and Rig, the handle locks automatically. Even better, you don't need to open the handle to pull the rope through. Things have only gotten easier 😉. So the principle of how to step up with you hand ascender and foot loop is the same, and the operation of the new I'd and Rig is easier.

that Petzl ID looks a lot like a Grigri, but then an overgrown version. Thank you for sharing!

Is it irata aproved to do a "rederect" on your and ecender, like a simpel carabiners or a pulley so you can pull down on your main rope instead of up. The classic RAD system.

Yeah what about it?? Descending safely will be a bit of a challenge and not very acceptable on the workplace

Can be done with 2 prusiks, foot loop , and a double clove knot backup on the main or backup line

How can you descent 100 meters with prussiks and clove hitches? Your comment makes no sense at all.. and a clove hitch as a backup?? Serious? Adjusting that up all the time during a 20 or 50 meter ascent? What company would allow that. Remember this is the rope access channel. Not the play around on rocks channel (no disrespect, it is fun and I love it). When working there are rules and companies have regulations. So we use certified descenders and climbing gear. Different industries, different solutions. And there is a lot of crossover and pollination between all climbing industries. Which is good.
Keep the differences in mind please
