Thanks this video really helped out because there really wasn’t any instructions or videos on this set up this got it done in like 30 minutes 🤙🤙🤙
Great video love those train horns
Just a quick tip instead of running the wire to the fuse I connected mine right to the main power wire in the rear so even if my truck is off I can still hit the horn and the compressor will run until tank is full without being connected to the key activation fuse, plus one less wire to run up front. And I have mine connected right to the main horn wire.
Thanks so much I didn’t know how to use that switch and now I do
Awesome!
Great video
You should spray rustoleum bedliner on the raw steel to prevent rust an it looks really good!!
Aaron Podgorski going to powder coated it later on down the road. Probably once I decide to powder coat my lift kit
Dang dude I thought I had to spend money but this is an amazing idea keep up the good work brother
Good Job thanks
Hey Where is that Metal Place you got the Sheet From?
Nice truck man, quick question , i don have amps, can i wire the blue and the grey together?
no, try to find the schematics for where your wire are located in the driver side on google. im going to remove the blue wire from my amps and wire it to where it needs to be.
👍
Tks. And where it needs to be exactly? The blue is for the compressor , right?
jorge m yes it’s what’s going to signal the compressor to turn on when it’s empty or low on air
Hi, you never used the relay? Im about to star working on it, but not sure if i got everything clear... I a litlle scared
No i didn’t use a relay because I tapped into my fuse panel.
hey the 4 long bolts with the bump stops and rubber bushings you bought that locally? The hornblasters ones were only to copy? or did you end up using them? Killer idea and nice explaniation too thanks
I was going to use them but that idea didn’t work so I tried to do something similar to that but with longer screws
@@Trilla_ do you wish the compressor and tank were mounted on top the plate instead of the bottom? where did you get the rubber bushings from?
@@crimsoncastillo1356 the tank doesn’t matter. The compressor some what thinking it was on top but I haven’t had no problems with the compressor so far and I use my horn a lot
Im about to buy it, but i wnat to make sure i can wire right. 4 wheel parts is way to expensive for the install
jorge m the blue wire goes to your ignition wire. So whatever year is your truck type in google where your ignition wire is located and tap into that wire if you don’t have an amp
Ok, so basically the blu wire has to go to a fuse that only turns on when the truck turns on, and the grey has to go to a fuse that has power all the time, this one is for the switch, then the red goes to the battery, right?
jorge m yes. Because you don’t want the blue wire to turn on when the truck is off because let’s say you have a small air leak and in the middle of the night the compressor is turning on and just killing your battery after. Green wire I put it in a live fuse because I want to be able to honk on the horn without the truck being on.
What's up bro. I just runnimg all the cables on the outside to test it out. I got everything conected except the pressure switch, i have the regular pressure switch, the little one, i grownd one side with all the grounds, and the oterside to the battery, when i touch the battery with the cable , it gets really hot and the copper mels. What is happening
Waw. I just put the fuse in and it almost burn
Do you have an Instagram ? Message me on there with pictures please to help you out better
Nice where did you get the metal plate ? So doing this thanks for the pointers
David Rosales local metal supply
Ricky 5.3 cool and of course you added the wholes etc right and you just visualized the areas you added the wholes For the parts ? You were right on point
David Rosales I just put everything on top of the plate on how I wanted it to be set up and got a marker and put points in where I was going to drill the holes.
Ricky 5.3 thanks
David Rosales when I powder coat the plate I’m going to make it a bit smaller and make a couple of designs to make it a bit cooler lol
First
My air compressor stays on continuous and then my pressure valve goes off
Probably have the switch on
Grey you mean , right?
jorge m my bad, yea I meant grey
Your horn hoses have to be equal length
Rajul Faqeer thanks for letting me know. Going to look into that.
What part of Texas do you live in????
Houston
Whats the dimensions of the sheet metal you used?
Dillon Hewitt 24x30
Ricky 5.3 where can I find that size of metal ? Thanks
David Rosales go to your local metal shop. Go on google and search on there to see where is a local metal shop at
Ricky 5.3thanks
Guessing you didn’t see that the airlines to each horn need to be the same length so that all 4 horns get air at the same time.
Yes I know about the mistake I did
@@Trilla_ it’s a good learning experience probably have enough hose to redo 3 of the lines.
@@ptld_train_horn didn’t know about and in the comment section people told me about the mistake I did. That’s the whole point about this channel. All of us learning together.
@@Trilla_ for sure. I’m going to be buying the CONDUCTOR'S SPECIAL 2485K SPARE TIRE DUAL TANK DELETE KIT (PREMIUM KIT WITH QUICK FILLING & MODERATE PNEUMATIC USE soon with the S6 upgrade for fun.
I can only imagine how rusted that steel plate is today.
Raw steel must be properly prepared and painted prior to installing it under a vehicle. Amateur

And ? How does that affect me.
@@Trilla_ would you put a set of rusted rims on your truck? Just saying.
@@billybrown6330 yes I have before actually.
@@Trilla_ totally missing the point. “Someone “ spent the time to cut and drill a custom plate for a nice vehicle and was too lazy to take the time to paint it so it would not rust. Just take the constructive criticism and move on. Stop with the smart ass attitude, dude. BTW, the video sucked and so did your install.
