This a fun, toe tapping tune. I had a good time listening to it. It's always fun to have Erika singing with the band. Thanks for sharing the video with us.
Many thanks, John. This one is on their Album entitled 'Six Feet Down'. 'You Can Have My Husband' was composed in 1960 by Dorothy Labostrie. It's a 12-bar, played here in B flat; and I think the most interesting signal is Shaye's use of the leg at 03:01 to remind everyone that they are to play only the first beat in the opening bars of Erika's next chorus. She probably did the same thing (off-camera) at 01:01.
Thanks for providing this. I was at the show and enjoyed it very much but my hearing isn't what it used to be and I can hear all the parts and lyrics much better through earphones.
What a fun song. So sassy. I do wish they mixed the vocalist’s mic a bit better; I want to hear her little nuances. But still lovely. In New Orleans people dance to them so seeing people quietly enjoying the music reminds me how good the music is. Thanks you for posting!
I believe that Tuba Skinny optimizes their sound for the live audience, and so the recorded sound tends to vary, depending on who "captures" a specific performance. Also, they strive for balance as an ensemble, rather than trying to highlight any particular individual, so very often (such as on the street) they don't even use individual microphones. - j q t -
Totally enjoyed this show! thanks for great music!!!!
Brilliant.❤.
Nice recording, it picked up the washboard/percussion well. Thanks.

magnifique, comme toujours !
Great performance - especially love the solo by Barnabus on trombone. Thanks for recording this.
He is the best.
First time I've heard this tune by Labostrie. What a hoot! And as always Tuba Skinny and Erika do it right!

Well done TS!
For Shaye Cohn, let me offer an additional line: _"You Can Keep My Cornet (But Please Don't Mess With My Mutes)"_ 🎼 🎺 - j q t -
Again: Erika, solist, is I HARD TO HEAR. Why?
