@@polystrate1 Beat Saber doesnt excite me quite as much. I just enjoy the gameplay and shooting of Pistol Whip more. I respect the hell out of Beat Saber though!
@@bmackVR Pistol Whip is great for getting used to aiming in VR games as well. It gives you a ton of targets to play around with and dual wielding really helps you get your left arm aim calibrated. I try to double tap each target with both guns to see how off my aim is. Super addictive and so many levels to try.
Pistol Whip is the GOAT of VR Value games. Unlike many developers who underdeliver, Cloudhead has said multiple times they are finished making new content for Pistol Whip, but the free new levels keep on coming! The user created levels are the cherry on top. It's also probably the best VR leg day workout without a treadmill.
Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We're stoked to hear that the game brings loads of joy in VR, and it's really thanks to the player community that we're able to do what we do 🙌
Thank you for the years of awesome content! I wish all developers handled their VR games and communities with the care and passion you guys have poured into Pistol Whip! Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeves next, be it new Pistol Whip content or a new game entirely!
Pistol Whip has justified my Quest 2 by itself. I must have played hundreds of hours in 2021 and 2022. It practically became my home gym. The skills even transfer to real shooting. We finally got the game that is "teaching the kids to shoot" lol.
I bought this game by mistake on the psvr1 , its very good , I have a psvr2 on the way so hopefully it will upgrade etc. superb channel you will hit 1k soon...
Highly recommend parry bullets with revolver, it was a random one I came across when I first discovered modifiers and as an Ultrakill junkie this made this the best game in VR, parrying with the small capacity of the revolver is a great feeling. 7 Nation army great song, amazing level I love the game for staying on beat and that level does it in spades
Here from reddit, this was a very well-polished review, I recently bought a Rift S for $50 and Pistol Whip blew my mind. Subscribed and looking forward to new content!
Awesome! Hopefully my post was helpful! Glad you are liking Pistol Whip. Game just kicks ass! I’m a bit of a hidden gem guy and a VR nut haha. If you need any recommendations check out my other videos or just ask. $50 is a great price for the rift S!
The second level of Smoke and Thunder is the pinnacle of VR for me (I haven't played boneworks or alyx yet) but one thing I find so satisfying in pistol whip is the quick reloading, the song is so perfect last this level is a power fantasy and the double barrel shotguns meant more reloading. Blasting then putting my hands down to reload after every shot was just so perfect
Great video! Thank you so much for reviewing this game, it really deserves more attention as well as your YT channel :) I was wondering, why hasn't anyone made a custom track/ remix of "The Matrix"? I mean full map, colors (green) and a song from the OG movie. I believe this would be INSANE and Pistol Whip would be the perfect game for this. Thank again! Subbed :)
I was quite delaying with Pistol Whip for no reasons, but then one day tried their campaigns and absolutely liked it! I hope they will release more campaigns in future.
Nice review I remember playing the trial version I thought it was an awesome game But with so many games on the market I don't know what to pick these days 😆
For the newbies -- I just downloaded and played it, and I can confirm that the tutorials are excellent, and you can even start out with advantages, like being indestructible, and having helpful banners appear that say, "Duck!" and, "Pistol whip this guy!" My only questions are: How do I know who my enemies are, vs innocent bystanders? And how do I kill a guy who has armor?
Glad you’re liking it Mary! You can only kill enemies and they are usually bright white, the non enemies are a dull color. Also to kill the armored ones just keep shooting. It takes 2 or 4 shots. To the kill the guys fully armored in like mech suits or knight armor, you gotta pistol whip them.
Do you agree with me that Pistol Whip is VR's BEST music rhythm game??
that and beat saber are top notch

@@polystrate1 Very very good point! I didn't really talk about how great this game is for VR newcomers for reasons just like this!

Yeah it was a great decision to do quick reloading here. Have you looked into metal hellsinger vr? You might like it, but it’s a wait for sale game.
smoke and thunder is my all time favorite usually that is my go to when I play
Agreed! Check out some of the modded maps too! Some are really good.
But I do wish they would make just 1 more campaign!
@@bmackVR the did just release some new songs not sure if it was a campaign mode, I did try the mods, they are hit and miss

Yeah VR is really heating up this month too lol. I don’t think you can go wrong with Pistol Whip tho.
Great video. 900 calories is no joke. That's almost a full meal you burned off.
Thank you!! Some good ole VR calorie KOMBAT!
Absolute System seller.
Totally agree! I was hesitant when I first bought it back in 2019 because it only had 10 songs. After playing 1 song, I knew it was worth the money.

3 new scenes that are boss fights plz.
I have PW on psvr2 and quest3. Play it almost daily.
Hell yeah that sounds awesome! There are no standalone boss fights either
