    Apparently the only reason to kill with a specific unit is if that unit has an effect that procs on attacks in general or kills in specific.

    That number is the number of new mods available to the unit

    I believe you can fast forward the unit animations by right clicking during them

    I have no idea if you have found out how strength works since this was recorded 10 days ago but you can look it up under Strength Checks in the Ingame help. There is a Formula:
    Strength chance = (Strength x 10) x 0.9^((Unit Tier - 1) x 2 + Resistance - Weakness)
    The Devour is Kinetic dmg channel strength 12 and I belive the unit you ate is Tier II and has no resistances and weaknesses in kinetic which would make it
    (12 x 10) x 0.9^((2 - 1) x 2 + 0 - 0) = 97.2%
    It said in the tooltip while mousing over the unit with the devour selected a succes chance of 97% so that seems about right in the calculations.
    The general rule of thumb is:
    One Point of strength = 10% chance of success minus a bit for the unit tier since most units are not tier I

    I’m sure you have figured this by now but you can remove a unit from defense mode by hitting the button again.

    Should research the water movement techs. It will make some of the pathfinding and expansion easier.

    The tilt to sidequest and research/defensive auto upgrades seems...Extremely Strong, vs the usual ranging out. EXP is an even split, scaling with how big a force you win with vs how large the enemy.

    you do remember swarm shielding right your units are stronger next to each other.

      the question i have is wether or not swarm shield is worth more than not being hit by aoe stuff on multiple units.

    1:48 You can use multiple armies in ANY battle, they just need to be adjecent to the one of the armies initiating the combat, not the enemy hex! :D
    Don't dispose your experienced units just to weaken the enemy army - pile up on them!

      except dungeons, those are one army only, but yes, quantity has a quality of it's own

    You can cancel defence mode, just have to click it before ending your turn

    Exp is shared between all units.

      So it's not working like in Age of Wonders 3? Where u had to use as much skills, hits, kills with the unit u wanted to lvl up?

      @@stiken4421 yes, this time all surviving units get exp for what was defeated split equally between them. So you can quickly level up a smaller group, but battles would be a tad tougher.

      @@rustyknight1572 nice! Must say I prefer the Planetfall version. It saves a ton of micromanagement in battles ;)
      At least in theory it looks that way, didint play on Planetfall yet.

    Hey SB i posted something on your subreddit and i saw that its a litte ded beforehand so i gonne comment it here
    i put alot of though into the post and it took 2 planetfall episodes to finish so i wouldn't want you and others not noticing it

    If this is like AOW3, I'd recommend you avoid putting heroes in fights they have a high chance of losing. It was a huge tempo hit to lose a hero in the previous game, so breaking the hero off so the units they're attached to can suicide tended to be better than sending the hero in, too.
    In AOW3, killing blows gave more experience, so feeding last hits to weak units was often an important strategy.
