Wonderful explication! Fleta is the top, also the price. But its worth. Thank you! Love it! By the way, you are an excellent gitarist. Compliments! Alexander.
Once again, great guitars! Aside from the Fleta, the Oldiges is definitely my favorite! The richness of the sound is fantastic! Well balanced, powerful and a pleasure to look at!
Again great presentation. All the guitars are of course of a very high grade, but for me personally Andrea Marcellans' guitar would be the clear winner - it has a great balance and the trebles are of singular singing quality and sweetness...
First off, for me, any handmade custom guitar is a work of art. Even better, they make beautiful music too. Nothing that has shown up on this platform has been anything less than spectacular. Thanks! One thing that stands out for me in this episode is the great side by side comparison between cedar and spruce. My personal preference is for cedar. And, I did get money out of my pocket for an entry level concert grade cedar model. So, for me cedar is mellow and beautiful while spruce is crisp and beautiful. I bought a professional cedar and built my own semi-pro spruce. So, it’s that close for me. Why not have both? On the day, the mature, cedar Fleta would be hard not to place in your top three. It was rewarding to see that guitar open creative thinking and energy. Fantastic! The tuned nut on the Marcellan was a first for me. I would have liked to see and understand that better. Both spruce and cedar were beautiful and, I agree, hard to separate. Oldiges hit me as the best artistic balance with marvelous sound too. I also thought the Vacca, cedar, lattice braced guitar was quite unique. It may hit the in-between sound merging the qualities of cedar and spruce; maybe best of both worlds. That would be an interesting one to re-visit in 10 years or so.
They are all great sounding guitars with superb craftsmanship. It seems to me the secrets of guitar luthiery have been fully exposed these days. There are so many good luthiers in the world that the list seems to keep increasing all the time. I think Andre Segovia's dream for the future of classical guitars has come true. ❤
This is one of those weeks where for me it's like - just let me have them all! Ok, no, first change all the dimensions to a proper 664/54, and then let me have them all 😂
Dang! Even with crappy laptop speakers that Fleta is absolutely stunning. Have you had spruce Fletas? How do they compare?? Thanks for your videos, people, really!
DT has great sound, but it is not the traditional guitar sound that we oldies grew up with. Fleta, Ramirez and PB have that the sounds that make you weep. I don't know, it's kind of magical, especially when you play Tarrega's music on it. ❤❤
Balance and resonance! Is key! After hearing you play, I would love to hear a beginner/novice play the same guitar no vid cuts after!...loved hearing from the luthier himself!... Any builder that's says what he makes is art and not perfect! subjectively! Has my attention!
I read that many of the old luthier matters emphasized the fundamental, while most modern luthiers emphasize the harmonics. However, I’m not sure if that is true. If you can tell us more about fundamental vs. harmonics, especially related to Hauser, Fleta, and Torres, please let us know!
May be you made a big mistake. The Rinaldo Vacca guitar, my luthier master, is done: Top...roated spruce Back and sides Currupay ( named also Currupao) Neck Cedrela odorata...and pay attention , the lattice is total made only by wood. Red Cedar...no carbon or balsa....all the guitar is made with only wood....no double top....I have seen in construction this guitar...
Yes and a big YES, that,s enough. The -82 Fleta took the price, so to express my self. Ignazio died in -76 i think, so it must have been his sons that made this one. Anyway sons or not, it,s a marwelous guitar. The first chord that came out of it, made it clear for me to judge.
Fleta sounded wonderful but the bass got weaker the lower Jouyan went. The low D hardly stood out during the capricho. Marcallan’s cedar guitar was better than his spruce. Andy, one thing you got right: your spruce doesn’t sound like a Torres, at all; that is not a complement. Oldiges had the prettiest tone of all by far. Most makers struggle because they can’t hear and appreciate pretty tone like that of Santos and Torres, or they can’t produce it. Oldiges gets it, unlike most. Vacca lattice, pff. I don’t know how these kids are so skilled with wood, and they love Smallman instead of Santos. It is mildly tragic.
Not the best Fleta, It was made by Ignacio's sons and ut's not the first time that I'm disappointed. The Oldiges with its ringing trebles and the Vaca with its very open and wide sound are excellent.
The Fleta would be my best friend! Besides all of it"s awesome qualities it has aged so well.. 😊
Beautiful guitar brother
Your playing is expressive and impressive.
I really enjoy watching your show early morning every Saturday it puts me in a good mood the rest of the day .
It is all that... plus it inspires me to get practicing!
Thanks for making the Weekly Guitar Meeting better and better
مرسی از ویدیوهای خوبت، جویان😊
He was trying to hold back tears when he stop playing fleta.😊

Thanks a lot!

Andrea Marcellan your guitar sounds perfect! Thank you for your work, I love it.
And of course a thousand thanks to you Jouian and Siccas!
Thanks Carola for your kind words!
The Oldiges started to grow on me the longer you played it. Thought the DeLaMaza piece sounded fab on it.
Again great presentation. All the guitars are of course of a very high grade, but for me personally Andrea Marcellans' guitar would be the clear winner - it has a great balance and the trebles are of singular singing quality and sweetness...
Thanks, much apreciated!

👏👏👏👏👏
Breath taking... Reminds of the timbre of an early Smallman (strangely).

My handsome guitar 🎸 hero🎉❤
Fleta

Jouyan, What is the piece that you play in many of your demos that begins here at 3:06?
I read that many of the old luthier matters emphasized the fundamental, while most modern luthiers emphasize the harmonics. However, I’m not sure if that is true.

Fleta is like Antonio PICADO @siccas

What music is at 5 minutes 40? Thank you!❤❤❤

What composition at 5:36?
I can't hear the differences. I would love to own any of them.

I don't think Vacca is a kid...he almost look 60 lol
@@carpicabeckers6029 :) nice! I use the term loosly. I doubt he’ll be offended then; although, now a days… you never know
@niceguitar6144 I don't think so. I encourage you to meet him and try his instruments. Great man luthier and guitars
@@carpicabeckers6029 i don’t question his character at all.
