- Heyy so it’s been over a year so that’s funnn. Sorry if anyone was like waiting for a new vid (not that anyone would be) and I just disappeared. he literally got into an argument with her over race because of her essay, which was amazing. his song was terrible and honestly i think she liked him cause she wanted to fit in, she loved marcus. marcus actually cared about her and asked about her sh and checked up on her through out the show. hunter never asked more about her “birthmark” or how she was doing. she loved hunter as friends, not in the way you love someone in a relationship
again, marcus cared about ginny. in the beginning he liked her because she was pretty, but as the show went on, he realized he genuinely cared about her. throughout the entire show, he checks up on her because he wants to make sure she’s ok. he done side with georgia like hunter does, he understands ginny and tries to help he work through her trauma.

disagree, tw: she had a lot of trauma as a child, never recieved proper solidarity within her racial identity, has faced microagression multiple times yet still gets gaslighted by the ppl in the show AND PPL IN THE FREAKING FANDOM LMAO, emotional neglectance from both parents, shows symptoms of being a parentified child and depression, her outbursts of anger and mood swings are signs of repressed anger from never getting a structured home life, i really disagree ab her being self centered. shes always been there for max, and she doesnt properly know how to communicate her feelings to anybody. she had a lot of immaturity with her portrayal of her mother, but at the end of the season she clearly had a better understanding of who her mother really is, and her suspicion is valid. and the writers pretty much did a pretty terrible job portraying teenage emotions and stuff but overall i'd say she is going thru a lot

@GlamClan2018 yeah I agree. Usually with non black biracial actors they just declare them as the non white race and ignore that they're mixed at all. They could've done a proper storyline on Hunter being mixed but instead they chose to just use it for *THAT* scene. They did a horrible job trying to portray it with Ginny considering she didn't really try with the black characters and the fact that they were all seniors so she couldn't really relate to that aspect anyway. Hollywood just needs to do better
Let's just hope that after all of this judging towards hunter, they never make hunter do any of this ever again in season 2, they can clearly see how much we hate it

Hunter wasn’t even great to her. All his shows of affection were like big performative things, big things in front of other people. He wasn’t properly there for her and didn’t give the support she needed when it actually mattered (excluding the essay moment, like he was never there to try to understand her family issues etc). They couldn’t connect on a deeper level, he was like doing the “boyfriend” thing as just a role but they weren’t even similar.
