One good item to note is at the price point of around £90 with all Smoke alarms they also have a life cycle in this case it is 7 years, meaning that 7 years after manufacture you need to replace all the nest protect units completely with new.
Quick notice, only the wired version of Protect can have the Always on path light, take a wild guess why battery operated ones cannot do it. Also, even if you turned Nightly Promise off, it'll still glow yellow if there is an issue.
Would be nice if they made a 12v version for camper vans/RVs... Must take 240v in Australia? 110v us? I don’t think the battery version would last very long at all being connected to wifi
Do you have to run the cable from one unit to the next? I replacing old radio connected alarms which are mains connected but are using cable from different circuits. I assume they just need power regardless where it's coming from.
What did you use above the alarm to enclose the single insulated cables and connections? The fact you can't have the connections in the alarm is annoying

Good point and very strange, if all is working and it does a self check to confirm all is fine.

the UK voice prompts are so much better than the normal USA prompts.
