I just started planting a vertical garden with trellises. I love the cattle panels. I have a dozen squash plants, and a 4X8 raised bed in the middle that would have only been enough space for about 3 squash plants.

Hi Gary, I'm in NC. Love your videos. This is my first year doing trellises. My garden is overwhelming me. I am using the 8 ft ladder mesh for my 3 cucumber plants, however I made a mistake and planted cantaloupe, watermelon and butternut squash on mesh ladder instead of cow panels. I need to know if I should cut off new growth as my trellises are not holding up good under the weight of the 3 watermelon. Will try to send pictures tomorrow. Love love your videos. I will send you an email and I just joined your fb group. Thank you
Well can you support the mesh with stakes. That might be easier. Wont look pretty but it would hold. This is how you learn so its cool. Good day Gary, how are you? I truly enjoy watching your videos and how much you've taught me. I want your opinion please, I have some overgrown squash and cucumber, they are running and taking over my garden; is it too late to trellis them and what can I use?
A lot of times they have rooted out. Cucumbers you might be able to gently lift. Any thing really works for a trellis. Off subject, but do you have any tips for kudzu bugs? I live in the south and we have kudzu creeping into woods on back part of our lot, we are trying to keep it somewhat under control as much as we can, but now the bugs are all over my green bean plants. I’ve never heard of these bugs before 😩
Question: I am growing Eden Gem and Edsito melons up a double cattle panel arch. However, I do have a lot of the vines wandering on the ground as well. Is that ok? I do have space and it doesn't bother me to have a bit of a wild look.... but I also don't want to do anything to negatively impact production. Also, should I thin leaves on those melon arches?
I like the wild look and I would leave some on the ground. You can bury some of them and they will root often depending on the variety. It can help the plant. Ill be thinning leaves that are in the inner canopy and dont get a lot of light because of other leaves. Hi... I live in an apartment and have balcony to use for a garden area...to protect the the concrete floor I was thinking about putting down a pond liner that's bigger than the width of the balcony so I can put some of the liner up the brick wall to protect that too...it would be L shaped... will the pond liner protect the cement floor?...
I think it would. Water can still get under it if that matters but most of it will run off. Or dry on the liner. Hi Gary! Love all your videos! Have you ever tried planting Armenian cucumbers? I planted some this year , they’re not doing as good as the regular cucumbers! Noting that I’m caring for both the same! Thank you for any advice!

I like the u posts because they have holes. I can screw it to a garden bed. I can move them as needed. I don't have to beat them into the ground
Great tip

Thank you so much. I was looking for trellis ideas in your Amazon store front, but didn't see any. I will check your store! Thank you again!

Yea in Texas 70%. Set it up so its easy to cover and uncover for cooler times. Well... one day.

Hi Gary! Love all your videos! Have you ever tried planting Armenian cucumbers? I planted some this year , they’re not doing as good as the regular cucumbers! Noting that I’m caring for both the same! Thank you for any advice!
I used to but just stopped for no reason. They actually did really well. Not sure what is going on, they should follow the same care.

Are the cattle panels buried in the ground a little on each side? Do you have video showing how you install them?
I have different videos on them. The are buried in some of the containers but the tunnels just press against u post or rebar. They are not buried.
