thank you for making this !! as a seventh grader, i need to make one over the holidays (my humanities teacher gave us no instruction). this is a great guide to know where to start.
@@artinchancingI just happened to c this in my email, but, the clay I got from the thrift store (Joann fabrics, was awful. Idk if it was the red color die or what) Now I just order clay online, which was better, but still awful in my opinion. It wasn’t elastic, using it now. It’s not mallable, like at pottery’s. I recommend going to an actual place where they make pots. Cause the stuff online was poop to me
Slip is clay mixed with water. I put mine in a blender for my students. It should have the consistency of a smoothie. If you’re feeling lazy, water will also work.

Oh absolutely! Happy to help!
Hola, muy bueno, lo hice y me quedó genial, pregunta, lo impermiabilizas con algo o lo usas una vez seco.? Con fuego y tal. Saludos
Good tutorial! Thanks for sharing ❣️
Oh absolutely! Thank you.
Very good, I'll start making small things too. How is it fired?
@@Remguy2468 I fired this to a ^06. I do not recommend that course of action. I refired it to a ^6 later and it is better.
@@mountpennart many 🙏
Muy interesante, buena idea lo de la tarjeta y el preparado de arcilla líquida. Gracias !!
De nada!
How did you fire this? Did you mix filler into the clay first to protect against cracking?
No- I just fired it slow
How you feel bout the the air dry terracotta clay no heat.
To make a functioning oil lamp? 🪔
Hmmm. I’m not sure how porous it would be. That’s definitely worth investigating further.
@@mountpennart Yah, im a do it.
@@snapcracklefizzle9954 How did it turn out with the terracotta clay? Was the lamp functional?
