Painting the name of the saint onto gold on a Byzantine icon of St Elizabeth

I see a lot of character in the Saint's face as well as the individual mark of the iconographer. I really appreciate that she does not have that greenish ochre background skin color that some others use. She looks much more alive and immediate without it in her face.
