“Let’s eat rice! And be energetic!” This piece of dialogue brought a tear to my eye. It made me rethink my entire life and why we are here. Now, I finally get it. Thank you, Callie splatoon.
i think it's just a weird translation that makes more sense in japanese...... i really want to see the original japanese text. unless they actually w rote it in english. in which case, it's hilarious
Don’t know why this wasn’t mentioned in the video but the image at 7:10 is supposed to be the beta design for the inkling ghost that appears when you’re splatted
18:19 this enemy makes me think of a very, very very old version of Octo hoppers because they damage you when you walk into them not any other enemies event more tight
For the JumpingGuy enemy it's not a screen bending capability, it's just the scale animation when an enemy take damage that is way too hight so the model scale get infinite scale and the graphic engine can't support it.
The hammer guy enemy likely have been reworked into the flipper flopper boss salmon in Splatoon 3 because the way you dodge the attack is also by jumping
The content shown in this video is interesting but the editing is not great, several times there is white text on a white background, and the screen fades out too quick or too slow, it all feels a little awkward
A lot of the images have been recovered from books that were exclusive to developers and not released to the general public. Because the majority of the books were compilations of in-development images from several games, we had to crop a lot of the content to exclude irrelevant bits.
14:46 It might be a stretch put this enemy kind of makes me think about that one from the trailer that looks like an executioner in that pool of enemy Inc. maybe this is a smaller scale
EnemyballF: probably the octo bowling balls EnemyBallRe: probably the tentakooks Enemybubble & enemybubbleF: reminds me of Octobomber EnemyGakoTest: probably Octocommander or Rocket Twintackle Octotrooper EnemySamba: could be another version of tentakook EnemySupershotman & tanktest: probably octosniper due to the one shot or octohurler due to the jump animation EnemyTorando: Octostriker Hammerguy: Octostomp test range?
Even though we only have three games, I feel like what they do is take the previous game fresh from 1.0 and work off of that add all of the patches up to that point and more stuff like this behind when coding the next game
That tower defense mode reminds me a lot of the one present in Side Order. The medic areas are interesting though. Was there intended to be a path the tower took like in TC, or could you move it freely to an area of the map where it could be healed?
The tower defense mode was stripped very early in development and the states of medic objects were never complete, so it's impossible to know what they truly existed for. However, they have a "rail" state in their state machine which could indicate that some pathfinding was planned to be involved, similar to TC rails.
As for bounding box view it seems it is either broken or you are not giving it correct parameters for projection or camera matrix, as it seems very off
@@SDLFoundation I may look at it myself but the debug feature is not guaranteed to be completely present and still if used incorrectly may produce incorrect results
@SDLFoundation I think enm.takocopter_bubble is a unused version of a Splatoon 3 hero mode enemy as I noticed a few oddities with this enemy and a few others basically there are new Splatoon 3 enemies that are functionally similar to octo-bombers in their design consisting of sentient sub weapons and a few special weapons on the same note there is unused Splatoon 3 enemies that are in the same design that I've seen from people combing the game files
In Splatoon 3 hero mode there's a enemy that mimics the bubble special and has the effects of the wave breaker and tentacooler the enemy flies around and whenever the player goes to attack the enemy puts a forcefield around the enemy and gives them buffs the enemy doesn't directly attack the player but will try to push the player away with wave breaker ripples if they persist in attacking the enemy it is defending
And before you guys ask whether it's a scrapped enemy or not it appears in the actual game during a small selection of levels consisting of either rival octoling levels or stealth mission levels and these enemies have a stamina to their design where attacking them repeatedly enough for a long enough duration will give this enemy a short but prolonged enough stun lock for the player to defeat them
Sorry to be that guy but, the font used for the main font’s kanji is Rowdy and the secondary splat1 font is new rodin these can be found in an internet archive link. Also the model editor segment doesn’t really make sense. Are you guys referring to the NW4F 3D studio? The middleware tool for the models in the wii u format or the 3d modeling tool for the source models? If the latter then it’s autodesk maya 2014 or 2013 or 2012 or even earlier. Nintendo has been using maya for years since it was called power animator. So yeah idk what you guys mean for that segment

Thank you Callie from the squid game saga splatoon

callie is such a role model for me and this only solidifies it (this part is real). thank you callie splatoon for your insight
7:11
bro what is this, an analog horror? you cant show that ghoulish inkling with zero context like that
19:05 That wave breaker buff is crazy
Wavebreaker should have inked the ground tbh
7:20 Ancho-V Games if it was in Splatoon 3
YOU NEED TO PUT BLACK OUTLINES ON THE TEXT ON THE CHAPTER TITLE CARDS!!!!!!! WHITE ON BRIGHT GRAY IS A BAD COLOR SCHEME!!!!!!!!
Don’t know why this wasn’t mentioned in the video but the image at 7:10 is supposed to be the beta design for the inkling ghost that appears when you’re splatted
7:13 its the SQUIDBRINE
Its super nice to see a video that goes over unused splatoon stuff that isnt just surface level knowledge (like the beta gear in mario maker )
me hoping we can finally get a clean version of the 2014 demo now or never:
this is so beta core
18:19 this enemy makes me think of a very, very very old version of Octo hoppers because they damage you when you walk into them not any other enemies event more tight
the zooka enemies sound pretty awesome actually

Seeing Enm_HammerGuy makes me imagine "what if there was a variant of wave breaker in splatoon 1 that just instakills?"
The most secrety secret in all of secret-dom. 😱 🦑 🐙
Great stuff! Keep it up guys!!
5:00 why is a nerf gun just sitting there on the top left????

Suprised they didn’t mention salmon run in splatoon 1
Because it's pretty known about it at this point so I'll be surprised if they did mention it.
@@Killersnake432 I am pretty sure Salmon Run in Splatoon 1 does NOT exist, like at all. i don't know where you have gotten this information from.
What? How? Where did you hear that from?
There is no, and there has never been, an in-development Salmon Run in Splatoon 1.
it was on a few iceberg videos and i found a few old pictures about salmon run
14:46 It might be a stretch put this enemy kind of makes me think about that one from the trailer that looks like an executioner in that pool of enemy Inc. maybe this is a smaller scale
The samba enemy could be the inspiration for washers.
15:06 this reminds me of the fludders
EnemyballF: probably the octo bowling balls
EnemyBallRe: probably the tentakooks
Enemybubble & enemybubbleF: reminds me of Octobomber
EnemyGakoTest: probably Octocommander or Rocket Twintackle Octotrooper
EnemySamba: could be another version of tentakook
EnemySupershotman & tanktest: probably octosniper due to the one shot or octohurler due to the jump animation
EnemyTorando: Octostriker
Hammerguy: Octostomp test range?
15:03 maybe an old bowling ball?

@@SDLFoundation It’s a shame it was scrapped so early. It sounds like such an interesting mode, hopefully they revive it next game
13:28 i think this enemy is related to the unused enemy in the hero mode trailer
awesome video c: cant wait to see more like this!!
This is my first time seeing this account, IS THIS AN SCP REFERENCE !!!???
Enm_bubblefixed looks similar to hodded octarian from s1 trailer that never made the cut to the game.
6:24 this looks like manta maria in some ways..

We have not done any modifications to the debug feature.
