@Hema Latha it's a good question while playing a defence shot u should have a good grip on the bat when u r playing defence shot lift the bat with a good grip and keep ur left leg front (if u r a right handed)and ur weight should be pressurised in ur front foot and make sure that ur toe is up and bring the bat and leg at the same place

( I played for university, and 2 Division in Chennai and 1 st division in madurai. Also school District district captain, and inter Division captain. )
