I met my husband at church not long after I was newly saved and he rededicated his life to Christ. I had SO much baggage and he knew that. But he is apart of my testimony and my journey is becoming whole. God has shown me His love for me through my husband and many other ways.
I'm curious about the tone she is using while speaking. It can be a bit distracting during the conversation. It seems she may intentionally adopt a sweet and alluring style in her voice. Of course, she is beautiful :) I hope it doesn’t come across as jealousy-I'm simply observing!
@alvarani No, she is being herself and sitting across from her Husband, who she loves ... it is kind of natural that an element of their attraction would be evident in the discussion.
so glad I watched this. i saw the title and cringed but felt to watch it anyway... you two are so precious, thank you for sharing. beautiful words and thing to ponder and pray about.
The honesty in these podcasts I have watched on this channel is unreal. It's great to hear as it adds relatability as a listener. And that correction can be received as a listener knowing that it is not coming from people who do not admit their own faults
I love this topic and I've been studying relationships for many years. I was part of a huge single's group and had the opportunity to talk to dozens of divorced Christians. Something I've learned is that love starts with an illusion. When you start dating you don't really know the other person, you have no clue what compatibility is. You see someone, you feel attracted, and you imagine something about the person. You see what you want to see and block in your mind the red flags. I talked to a girl many years ago because I saw that her boyfriend didn't really like her. He was just using her. I asked her what she liked about the guy, and she said lots of things the guy was not. She invented him because he was handsome. She was from a rich family, and she bought him with gifts. Growing up in church I never had a chance with the girls because my family was not Christian. I would go to church with some neighbors. Just being a good person, involved in church, helping people and being a good Christian was not enough. A handsome guy from a rich family had all the attention. I became very good friends with a girl in my church when I was 17. We had a special connection, but her dad didn't like me. He called me once and told me to not go to their house. A few years later the girl left the church and married a non-Christian guy. Many years later I became friends with her father, and he told me that he wished I had married her. I see many couples faking in church. You can tell they don't like each other and are just enduring a penalty for marrying someone incompatible. I've asked many girls/women on a date and was rejected many times. It was sad to see some of those women divorcing a few years later. I've been praying for a wife for more than 30 years. Nothing magical happened so far so far.
This podcast has touched me deeply. I have watched many of your podcasts. This is by far my favorite. You two are so incredible in your willingness to be honest and vulnerable. Sending you so much love. ❤
What a man wants in a wife is necessary and the main reason why it may seem like a weird question is because we're in a society where feminism is perpetuated and that cares little about men's needs and wants morally, spiritually, intimately, physically and politically. I tell my Husband and my boy's, your desires are necessary and should be expressed appropriately don't let the worldly shame you into silence. What my Husband wants in me is genuine desire and I believe that's the same for most men.
so real and relatable Juli! And I love that - we are trustworthy because of Who we trust in! Going to watch this one over again - a lot of wisdom here.
The important thing to teach your kids- to know their temptations So they won’t be ignorant of the devices of the enemy Scripture tells us we are tempted when drawn away by ‘ our own lust” Looks was it for you brother For another- they would walk She is not saved- she is not for me Not for me right now anyway- no to missionary dating 😑
Here’s a cheat sheet, you can fit it on a 3x5. 1. Acceptance, expressed through touching and hugging 2. Respect, expressed through speech (see Gottman, “fight right “) 3. Radical submission.
Now the message paraphrase is nice but the danger of paraphrases is that they are the words of, and interpretations of man. One place ( the only place i know of) where Eugene Pederson misses it is matthew 19:11 &12. And 10: it is better NOT TO MARRY. I mean, how can jesus say ' some have renounced marriage for the KINGDOM' but if you really care about the kingdom you will go and marry? No. The word is from the disciples mouth not Jesus: " it is better not to marry". Vs 10. And i don't want to put Jesus words over Paul in 1 cor 7 . But you see nothing contrary in that lesser part of the Bible. ( read the final quest- Paul wants you seeing his writing from Jesus words, not trying to see Jesus words through Paul's writing). "Oh, it's so hard for me to except this word that marriage is so nice" says Eugene. No way! You kidding me? Single life is WAY harder. No pun intended. Intended. The answer is so obvious. What is easier: to eat? Or starve to death? Marriage is where men can 'eat' otherwise they can not eat. Which brings us full circle to the question being asked in this video, the title: what does man want in a wife? Let's be real. The primary thing the man wants is for that appetite he has to be quenched and there is only one who can do that for him: Eve. The man wants sex primarily.
Proverbs 31 is not ridiculous… the examples are illustrating a Godly woman as women are supposed to desire a Godly Christ like man. The whole fear of the Lord has actions. It’s why the heart of the husband can Trust in her. Seriously what does fear look like… example proverbs 31. This teaching of this age is so weak and fearful of challenging women. As if God made women unable to be or incapable of agency and active virtue. This is so buzzword and shallow. This teaching is just fearful of teaching a fear connected to agency and action.
What do you think are the traits that husbands value most in marriage?

i think some big ones are transparency/vulnerability, honesty, love, respect, & Godly submission!
Beautiful
Roger that brother. Amen.
I love how pleasant she looks 😌 She is just taking it in 😌 So sweet! She has the beauty of Snow White 😌 Such a sweet spirit 🥰

I am literally crying 😭... yes! I want my spouse to fear and love the Lord more than He loves me.
I love this! To fear God more than I love my husband 🔥
My hearts desire is for my husband to fear God more than he loves me! 🙏🏻
Always love the conversations with the Beveres, God bless you!

You guys are awesome by the way, authentic and real. ❤
This is a great conversation guys. So needed.
You must not say that a Proverbs 31 real world application is “ridiculous”. It is not, it is a Biblical standard.
The important thing to teach your kids- to know their temptations
So they won’t be ignorant of the devices of the enemy
Scripture tells us we are tempted when drawn away by ‘ our own lust”
Looks was it for you brother
For another- they would walk
She is not saved- she is not for me
Not for me right now anyway- no to missionary dating 😑
I feel blessed to witness this❤

I like how you get right to important business. Bravo. And amen. Peace to you and yours.
so well said Addison!!
Well it was Lemuels mother who was speaking to her son, who eas Solomon's son
They want beauty, love and sincerity, friendship & it would be good (but not necessary) if they could cook 😅❤
Beauty? “Beauty is fleeting…” proverbs 31
So true
It’s a great journey
When you realize after 28 years of marriage that your spouse fears being away from you and doesn’t live out the fear of God…
Well, there is still time to make that happen. I believe God can do it.
Glória a Deus
I am sure to you she is the fairest of them all 😌

Could the proverbs 31 lady be what’s taken from more than one woman?
What are you suggesting?
