It was nice to hear your critical view of the situation and especially your solutions and comparisons to India. I saw an interview recently where an indian UA-camr had a proper interview with the German embassy of India. Mr. Meyer, the man from the embassy leading the interview, appeared highly qualified and spearheaded the campaign to introduce APS certification and verification in India. Thanks to him and the efforts of the German embassy and the Indian government, Indian students don't have to go through this struggle. It is unfortunate that, on the other hand, Islamabad embassy is not even making a single statement to explain why they haven't given a single appointment to normal track masters students in almost 4+ months. The uncertainty and stress is unacceptable. Our government and students really need to campaign further and state our demands. Unfortunately pakistan is a country where even twitter is banned, so it's hard to campaign and trend hashtags to get the embassies attention. It's such a frustrating opinion but hopefully UA-camrs raising their voice will make things better.

السلام علیکم Muneeb bhai I am a Nustian and applying for Bachelors in Germany. My profile is good (1.2) German grade and Test DaF 16 (4435), I have also got admission letter from LMU Munich and will In Sha Allah receive from other top unis as well. But I am not applying for Masters and a fast track doesn't exist for Bachelors. I have applied to Germany for Studienkolleg but couldn't get appointment and later I decided to utilize a year here in Pakistan and got admission in NUST. I applied in May 2023 and at that time, the waiting time for Studienkolleg category was 14 months. In February, I emailed Embassy wether I should cancel my appointment and re apply on Bachelors category or not but didn't get any reply. As a result and to be on the safer side, I didn't apply for Bachelors and continued my Stk visa booking coz its waiting time was really less. But they didn't give a single appointment to this category for 3 months and now they have again started but the waiting time has increased to 18 months. Now if I get an appointment in Isb Embassy in October or November. Would I be able to justify my different category booking or I will simply get a rejection? Given that the Aufnahme für Studienkolleg expires in September. So I couldn't do that I show them a Stk letter and later switch to Bachelors after going to Germany. Have I made a mistake or not. Don't know if learning German for 9 months will be beneficial or not as it's difficult to get extension letter from unis also. I will In Sha Allah enroll myself but the whole struggle seems to be just wasteful. Plz reply to my question.

But it seems that at first there is a big misunderstanding on your side: our clients for student visa are not booking “appointments”, they only can register in a waiting list! We take the registered clients out of the waiting list and book them into the “real” appointment list. Unfortunately your ideas are not really helpful due to the very simple fact that any kind of “pre-check” before giving an appointment to an applicant would lead to even more workload on our staff and the basic reason for the miseries for our clients with getting appointments is the lack of capacities at this visa section in nearly all categories, not only for students. Just to give you a little bit of background which will show, that your proposal of e.g. asking for proofs of admission letters or blocked accounts does not make very much sense except producing additional workload: as already said: concerning student visa we are not working with a system of “booking an appointment directly” (as this is the case for Schengen visa). For students, work visa and family reunion cases we are offering only a registration to an online waiting list. And from this waiting lists we then book (usually in chronological order) the appointments for our applicants. Do you have any idea how much work capacity it needs to do a type of “pre-check” for this numbers of applicants? This work would bind capacities of workforce which should better work directly on incoming visa cases! And besides: this proposed “pre-check” happens more or less “automatically” after a registered client receives his appointment: at that moment the client has to be aware of the fact, that he has to proof all necessary documents at the given date. And there is always a high percentage of clients, who don’t confirm their appointment. And every week we “fill up” these slots of appointments which were not confirmed."

Please use your voice and actually contact the German Authorities, organize protests in Germany, raise some noise about it. Us people sitting in Pakistan have no voice or support. This work would bind capacities of workforce which should better work directly on incoming visa cases!
And besides: this proposed “pre-check” happens more or less “automatically” after a registered client receives his appointment: at that moment the client has to be aware of the fact, that he has to proof all necessary documents at the given date. And there is always a high percentage of clients, who don’t confirm their appointment. And every week we “fill up” these slots of appointments which were not confirmed."
