Vaalmonica it literally 3 URs and he went for the deck with more URs needed
I’ve been having so much fun with either vaalmonica or odd eyes zarc. They’re both so much fun
It's great that they stand on their own even without the odd-eye stuff that it is truly the most expensive part of the deck
MBT talking about people giving up too soon is one of Paul's discussion videos and rings so true. Stop giving up! It can only take one misplay or clever move for you to get advantage over your opponent & win the game. You'll be surprised when your hand actually can break a board.
MD's ladder system warps this discussion since it's usually more efficient to scope early if you want to climb fast. Waiting for opponent to do their combo, figuring out how to play into their board, waiting for their responses on each of your cards and then adjusting your own lines in response takes up a lot of time and mental energy that trying to play out every game will be a slower and more frustrating climb
@@roguebubble So you care more about the act of climbing than actually playing the game?
@@Oearli majority want to get to masters as soon as possible for gems
Ay true. Faced guy who had game playing photons. Stole my monster with that rank 8 xyz (downside only that monster can att directly.). He could’ve went for game. But summoned another xyz dragon over the one so none of his monsters can att directly. Managed to win next turn king of skulls sweeeeeeeep.
@@Oearli Yeah, cause that's how we unlock the cards we need to play the game

I got a royal Angel and cyanos from the fire king pack, I’m livid about that. Fire kings are my favorite deck
Finally, the real Ten Minute Testing 😂
Man balks at Seletrice being UR but goes all in on a deck with basically all URs
Why do you play Z-Arc?
MBT: BECAUSE I'M STRONG!! *probably
Pendulum finally became cool once we got a good way to summon Z-arc, one of the coolest boss monsters in yugioh
Seeing Joseph just genuinely enjoy Master Duel after Skarlon has uninstalled is so interesting.
I see them pop up on my feed every now and again and all they do is complain about everything.

And yeah, Skarlon is trans. Don’t see what that has to do with deleting MD though.
after watching this video, thank god they put purrelyly to 2 man.
This is probably my favorite intro ever to one of your vids. Next one should be, "The gang ruins snake-eyes"
Crazy how Joseph decided to switch to the deck with 20,000 URs after the deck with 1 UR was too expensive.
If only konami would just unban Electrumite in the tcg
How do you expect to ever be Konami sponsored if you keep posting these videos Joseph??? This is the worst one yet. PENDULUM??? You know Konami is trying to eradicate these guys from ever seeing play 😔

@@idosarts_and_krafts I mean, to be fair at least Earth Machine actually has a solid gameplan, some good combos and it can be quite scary when you let it do it's thing without too many interruptions... Geminoble on the other hand, is basically just me throwing a bunch of cards at my board while screaming "random bulls*t, go!"... still love it though lmao
Wonder if we are getting Vaalmonica eventually
You go defence purrly so you can detach all material if necessary it’s better almost everyone pulls out 3000 atk
Words can't describe how happy I am to see Z-arc getting some love!
Insta conceding is dumb unless you have a terrible matchup on your hands. For example, when I play paleo and my opponent is on mikanko, the opponent should just surrender. They literally can not win, it is impossible. Make no mistake, the game will take 30 minutes but they will not win. At that point just save yourself some time.
Edit: Before anyone makes the "what if they are having fun" argument. I do not think someone playing a going second otk deck would be having fun getting wabokued and karma cannoned 20 turns in a row but maybe that is just me.
It is a battle of wills and hoping you get pulled away so he wins by you timing out
You expect Mikanko players to not be as annoying as physically possible?
In their defense, somehow managing to beat a deck where you have a GARBAGE matchup is exhilarating if you do win. I main Tear, and 5 times, I’ve had opponents blind Abyss Dweller into me, and the 1 time I beat them was a massive pop off.
One weird thing I will say about the conceding games is (coming from a background in Hearthstone top 100 finish peak [when it earned worlds points]) is if the only goal of you as a player is to theoretically grind rank if one in every let's say 5 times you try to play through your opponents board you make a comeback break it whatever. If the time in those 4 losses is greater than the time it would take to play 2.6 games it is technically faster to concede to just go next. Oddly enough in hs knowing when to concede for game efficiency is often considered a skillful thing. I just think master duel players have not figured it out yet when to concede. I will say in yugioh it definitely hurts ones growth as a player
Yes I get u should not concede on setup but when I’m playing rogue, going second, with no hand traps against Horus and/or Snake Eyes there isn’t any coming back from that
Look I know what that banlist didn't accomplish, but Linkuriboh really deserved its ban and I'll die on this hill. Just look at what that monstrosity accomplishes just in this video.
Being a handtrap dodge, a battlephase trick in a deck that very often makes appo and I:P, and just the best link extender for the deck means this shit ABSOLUTELY deserved it's ban
Nahh..Just hit Snake Eye Ash or Poplar..it won't change anything hitting Linkuriboh. They'll just resort to Almiraj or Anima instead..Joshua Schmidt literally played Snake eyes on Single copy event and it didn't even affect Snake-Eyes combo line..same as what happened to TCG.
@naknampucha5236 there are plenty deck that could do full combo with 1 card and the problem with link kuribo isn't that it allows snake eye full combo as snakes eyes can do full combo without it it's that it prevents battle phase plus it invalidates any targeting interruption as it tributes for cost
@@naknampucha5236
You’re missing the point of the comment if you think being a link 1 is the main reason it’s broken
Man I love King's gate so much!
I'm not screwing my pend combos anymore and with Exceed threating apo before my pend summon feels awesome
Purrelyly got impeded so hard it was semi’d
Poor fool doesn't know what they did to Dracoslayers in this game.
going from vaalmonica to an even more expensive deck is crazy
Zarc.dek and Endymion are my favorites in MD. Now let me play Electrumite in TCG and maybe ill consider paying for some real product
Pend has the most satisfying special summon animation
0:21 I'm waiting for Odd-Eyes Revolution Dragon to be reprinted in a new selection pack.
idk if that'll even happen though.😐
I played this deck throughout the whole duelist cup. Lot of fun and plays into maxx c decently
that's why you don't concede if you don't open hts
except against mathmech / black wing / pendulum and dinos
This was a really cool deck. Good stuff!
Man, I love it when Dire edits videos, she's great.
As someone that plays pure Vaal/ old skool Tea Gardner cards, the first 5 seconds of this vid was insulting. Vaal gets dubs with the right mindset
1:48 we couldn't use ARC pendulum here because it's currently counted as a spell not a monster
On the 6:40 thing
is depressing
like sometimes you win sometimes you lose
i can handle losing a lot fine
but a devastating loss where everything gets negated and is just unsurmountable... it hurts
like i don't get salty or insult players but some matches or games have gotten me crying bad or lose the will to play for a while
like yeah some people can take those better the same way people have more resilience for other problems or being the butt of jokes... but some people cannot
If you're crying over a card game, you have bigger issues than your opponent going full board, Bud.
Take these things in stride, if you get negated and your capability to win is just not possible you could just be unlucky. If it happens multiple times over and more often than winning then maybe there's an issue with your deck or your plays.
Don't take the situation as something upsetting but take it as a positive:
You still have a chance to improve and learn because you don't learn from winning while you do when losing.
If the game is difficult for you to play and you find no joy in playing it then don't; nobody is forcing you to play, it is entirely in your hands and there could always be something else to play or do in that same time, almost certainly something you can actually enjoy doing.
Don't put yourself in a negative mindset as that will just cause a spiral whenever things don't go well, in comparison to a positive mindset which could some of the time lead you up a spiral when things do go well, which is far more preferable.
@@Lankercool
I think that’s a great message, and to add to it: Take the chance to see what you lost to and how to improve your MU on it. If your opponent played through 2 hand traps and ended on 12 negates, think about if you hand trapped them in the right areas. So many people Ash snake eyes decks wrong. I’ve won more than few due to poorly timed Ash Blossoms. Think about if you should consider different hand traps. Ash does nothing against Snake Eyes, but a well timed Droll + Nibiru is game ending. I put in Skull Meister specifically to stop Flamberge (when they can’t Chainblock it). Alternatively, look into board breakers. Many OCG players are main decking Dark Ruler because it shuts down entire Snake Eye boards (minus the IP in ST and Princess in Grave, but still). If you are losing to one hand trap, think on how to improve your matchup. Adjust ratios, don’t be afraid to go above 40, many top players will go above 40 and even as high as 60. Consider various tech options: I’ve started using DD Crow to deal with Rollbaxk shenanigans. Consider using other strategies. You don’t need to use Snake Eye, but if you’re not having fun playing Blue Eyes and losing, consider that this might not be the time for it and find another deck you enjoy. And if you lose, just accept that sometimes, you got unlucky. I’ve lost in Pokemon to crits, I’ve lost in Smash Bros to Hero kills at 0, and I’ve lost games of Yugioh to bricking for 8 turns in a deck with 15 starters. At the end of the day, losing is a part of getting better, and maybe it’s the Souls and Fighting game player in me, but losing just makes me want to try harder.
Love how the trap couldnt use arc dragon as material because it was a spell and not a monster while on field
I just try my best to break the field, and the opponent scoops up !
If you're playing in a bracket, then sure, don't concede. If you're in a ladder like MD though it's a completely different story. There's no point in playing out a game that you're going to lose, that's time you can spend playing a game that there's a chance of winning. Watching so many streamers during this WCQ event play out games that were lost 15 minutes ago was so frustrating, that was almost certainly a key part in what made them not make the cut, the better players knew when it was time to move on. Save your time and energy for the games that matter.
I will say though that a lot of Yugioh players will scoop far too early. I've had people surrender just for losing the coin toss, having their turnskip card like Maxx C/Shifter negated. But you shouldn't actually scoop until your opponent has the makings of a card that will win them a game. Surrender when you see the Ash/Circular, never before.
You're my HERO!
Vaalmonica is actually one of the cheapest decks i ever built in MD. You literally just need 3 URs in three copies of selettrice. The other URs are all generic links and unless you literally just opened a new account, you prolly have every UR extra deck moster already.
Runick vaalmonica is unreasonably good
This is a deck that I want to try. Any tips?
10 seconds in: "MINOR SPELLING MISTAKE!"
"if you concede if someone does their setup combo why are you playing yugioh" I'd more ask why yugioh makes every non tiered deck have to do this without specific draws lol
6:39 I concede because I actually want to PLAY Yugioh
I don't want my turn to be normal summon, gets popped, activate spell, gets negated, pass the turn, get OTK'd?
I'm not PLAYING the game at that point, I'm watching someone else play the game while staring at my hand and asking "Huh, what can I DO with these cards that doesn't immediately lose me the game?"
I don't play Meta, I don't play a lot of hand-traps, sure that's a deck-building issue and I'M the problem there, but equally, when I come to play yugioh, is it wrong to want to play the decks I want to play? So when I see my opponent normal summon Snake-Eye Ash, and I have only engine pieces in hand, that can't break a board of 3 mat appo and 3 other interactions, I don't WANT to sit there for 3 minutes watching THEM play the game, just so I CAN'T play the game. So I concede and go next.
For a content creator, conceding isn't good for views and watch time- but for me, a person who is trying to have fun and enjoy the game playing the decks THEY want to play- is it so wrong to admit defeat early, and just hope you find a better matchup next game to have fun against?
"Just play Snake-Eye", while true, isn't exactly fun? I enjoy the decks that I have, and don't enjoy playing Snake-Eye, and getting my whole combo negated in one go by meta is... Kinda frustrating honestly? So my options are, don't have fun playing yugioh, or not playing yugioh. My choice is I'm gonna scoop till I see someone else playing something I think I'll have fun playing against
When I see someone open a weird, off-meta card, I'm gonna stick it out because this at least will be more interesting than watching someone play solitaire for 3 minutes and then killing me.
A few people have been like "Oh, then go play Magic, or Pokemon, or Cardfight Vanguard"
And with each of those, there's multiple issues
With Magic, there's SO many cards, but only so many are available at any given moment, you either have to know the game inside and out to know how to deck build, or be constantly looking for pre-cons to have a good deck- not to mention there's combos that are still pretty awful to play into sometimes, if my opponent goes first I don't really want to have a 5 card opening hand because they have Grief Scam and hand-rip 2 with a 3/2 on board before I've even played a land- and that's just one example...
Pokemon ALSO has one-turn kill strategies, and while most of them are banned, the game still has a massively high skill ceiling, and an equally low floor, in part because there are some cards that are just, strictly better to play than others that serve a similar purpose, and the combo lines are very confusing- and that can be pretty problematic when, you're not great at deckbuilding, and similarly with MTG, don't know how to build it properly outside of "Balance 'mon, trainer cards, and energy"
And Cardfight Vanguard is just, not interesting to me? I mean, I played it once, and won my first game, so that's a good a reason as any to just, never play again, but the mechanics were just, so foreign to me that I had to have everything explained to me, multiple times, every time it came up, plus if I'm being honest, I don't like that some of the archetypes... Have a very interesting way to portray female children... I'd rather just avoid the game entirely, honestly!
And for any other card games, and hell even Pokemon and Cardfight Vanguard, they just have a small audience, and basically no GOOD online simulator like how Magic and Yugioh do, and even MTG Arena leans more heavily into monetization than Master Duel- but, since Master Duel is a cesspool of people playing Snake-Eye down in literally BEGINNER RANK, I don't really feel like dealing with it.
I want to PLAY Yugioh, not put three cards onto the board and watch them get negated, pass turn, and get killed on the spot. THAT'S why I concede and go next, but still play Yugioh.
Anyway, random rant over, I'm sure nobody's gonna read this but, who knows. It'd be cool to see anyone read through it all.
That's right. It's not over til it's over!!!
I really like these new pendulum cards
😂😂

LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Does anyone know the song that was used in the first duel?
I mean you can analyze the condition properly, sometimes you know if it is possible to play or not. Besides, hoping your opponent will play badly is not a good game design. I better have decks with less and a simple setup, but the players can optimize it. Than having decks with overkill setup, because there is always a possibility the player is an idiot and make the broken setup fair.
