@@misterxavier2479 LOL No. My wife was super excited to see him and it turned out to be the worst Vegas show we'd ever been to. Criss's expectations of the audience were much higher than the the audience's energy and it made him almost hostile. He made no effort to try to whip up the crowd, but just spoke in a flat voice and dryly went through the motions like he didn't give a F. And then he just walked off the stage when the show ended.
After the show, those of us who stuck around walked out looking at each other asking "TF did we just watch?" It was horrible.

Yes sometimes criss angel do some tricks that he can only do through a camera or with actors. But you can't say that he use CGI. He didn't use green screen, or 3D, or any stuff like that.

not everything DB has done is real, I mean not all stunts were real or as impressive as meant to be. And he didn't come up with most card tricks he does, I remember him messing up an easy one and saying it's a work in progress but I found the exact trick on a really old dvd

He used green screens, not as much as he used actors and cuts, but he used those for practically every trick.
To be fair though, David Blaine has used actors and selective cuts as well.

I love Criss Angel’s showmanship but David Blaine’s card tricks and endurance feats are just otherworldly. I’ve never owned a Blaine deck, but they look amazing. I got a Criss Angel deck for like $4 when I was in 6th grade and it was far from the best $4 I ever spent.
Funniest review I ever read was when someone was given FREE tixs to the Criss Angel show in Vegas and said he still felt like he was ripped off.

I think I was doing magic before either. 1970's, we did not have much other then maybe David Copperfield and that Doug Henning fruit. Kind of our eras Cris Angel. Not sure when P&T came along but I am sure they were around a long time before getting big.

Dude, you're awesome. I love this channel. My brother use to do magic and he showed me a few tricks. I did "Kings Rising" in a jail kitchen once and blew the guards and trustees minds. I also did "Healed and Sealed" in a rehab and one guy never talked to me again. Even though I'm no magician, I understand (to an extent) and respect the art greatly. Peace!

I have one of those Criss Angel decks, and personally I kinda like the handling, even after like 4 years of irregular use. The cards don't clump together much more than my standard, 4 month old, bicycles. They're not amazing, but they're not terrible, either.

When I was a kid my first magic kit was the Criss Angel magic kit, I still have a couple of his decks, they're very good enough for amateur magicians, not at all my favorite deck, my favorite deck right now is Brian Brushwood's Outlaws deck, but the CA cards aren't the worst I've ever used

But you'll find that the "tv specials" are horrendous from a magicians eyes, in top of the guy being a completely arrogant and pompous idiot that's infamous for copying competitor's shows and stage tricks, instead of being innovative and unique (all whilst not giving any credit to the creators or etc, and even going as far as to hurl flatout accusational lies preemptively in the public's eyes, in attempts to preemptively dodge the responsibility for being a theif at times).
The list goes on and on as to why so much of the industry rips him and doesn't respect him.
But, even with that said, the joke about "cgi" is just that: he's known for, proven to use, and repetitively uses cgi on his "tv effects", which really blurs the line between lie and illusions (which is extremely damaging within the industry, hence why so many people give him shit and mock him).

I LOVED Criss Angel when I was younger. Watched every episode of Mindfreak. It's true I don't pay much attention to him anymore, but I'd still love to go see one of his shows if I ever had the chance.

Ry 52 I think you're not giving Criss enough credit. You can like David better that's fine. He's amazing at what he does. But Criss was influenced really heavily by magic; especially after his dad passed, so I'd say he has a lot of motivation and has worked hard to become who he is.
