@Plane Fan its possible but personally I dont think he would listen to them. If they cant get him to stay clean while recording a record in the studio then i doubt they could get him to stay clean for a little mtv interview
@Plane Fan i guess.. i mean that interview probably took a couple hours (120 mins plus rehearsal and 2nd takes) just as tracking bass for one song would.. but my point is that telling someone they better not use isnt going to work. Clearly his addiction took priority over anything the band was doing and thus if he isnt capable of playing bass at the time that it's most essential (besides live shows) then idk if he would bother to be clean for the guest hosting of 120 minutes.
i want my childhood back i was like 14 or 13 when this probably came out ...i was obsessed with mellon collie and the infinite sadness...i mean i held it in my personal cd player in middle school..
Poor Matt, he's trying his damnedest but they're not giving him much to work with, these guys were notorious for being difficult during interviews, Chris and Curt especially
Well I kind of get it, Their just guys who were into the music and music only, They didn't think much about anything major, they came from such a punk rock scene that to them it probably seemed weird but with a total "Fuck it" attitude.
I write freelance for a couple of rock magazines. I just interviewed Curt last week, and he seemed pretty chill. He was cool with answering all of my questions and was really nice. Maybe years go by and he's mellowed out a little.
bostrum is a straight edge dude...... keeps the time (in their life, and music) kurt obviously does drugs..... but has an handle on it (think he was high here) and cris..... dude is just out their...... even sober, he still acts like he fucked up his mind so bad, he can never really be sober
I 'member I saw the Meat Puppets when Shandon Sahm was on drums and somebody else was on bass, a guy from the audience said, "Where's yr brother?" Curt said, without missing a beat, "He's in JAIL." And shrugged. Next song..
Cris was a full-blown junkie by this point so having to deal with someone going through withdrawals and needing a fix (looks at how badly he can’t sit still) must have been rough.
mtv interviews not worth watching because of all of their on air personalities. Even when bands host, Thurston Moore or Lou Reed, they both came across as huge tools too. Some funny interviews were Lou Barlow Elliott Smith.
I was gonna read too high to die but after reading your comment I decided not to. Im afraid Ill find out Curt IS like david lee roth or some other horrible person and I wont wanna listen to their music anymore
Sad to see Cris high as a kite. Glad he survived...
They are soooo good live. Better than ever, possibly.
Hilarious when curt pushes cris
I love curt's face while his brother speak and move his arms and legs ahahah
Kinda sad watching Cris, who's obviously high, and knowing he'd soon blow their record deal with his addiction.
Shoulda never went on tour with STP ...
You might be right with the way he was squirming. He might have had something in his pocket that he was gonna take right after the interview.
@@dmvconartists1855 And STP should have never toured with Butthole Surfers. That's where Scott Weiland said he got started

Kurt looks tired...like he just wan't to get away from his brothe Cris for a while. lol
Be like having a 6 yr old kid w you
Yeah, although his sunglasses and long sleeve shirt cover up the evidence, it's quite obvious that he's trying to cover something up.
Lol just hate when yer rock stars get high

They are saints to put up with Cris, he's a Richard Cranium
+dqdish He's just high.

@@Numberfourwithextrasauce not funny at all now if you know the hell cris is about to go thru
You can tell that Curt is really not happy with his brother here.

Tragic.
