- Fishing an incredibly beautiful wild lake surrounded by mountains. This place is UNBELIEVABLE! Especially when we are catching as many fish as this. I has a few pointers on where to start, and also made quite a trek to a location I saw on google maps. Will I catch the big fish I came here for?

Since subscribing to your Chanel I’ve been a r&r regular customer!
Six rods and three reels later I’ve yet to wet the tip due to personal issues, mental health is a mess but hoping to face the world soon and get some fish on the hook!
Love the videos and hope to one day real soon push myself out there and enjoy it, just want to thank you as the videos give me the desire to do it and I’m sure I will do soon.
I’ve a very impressive boot load of gear just need to use the bloody stuff lol
Thanks though for giving me the urge to do,it
Thanks for watching! Sorry to hear you're going through a difficult time. I know mental health problems can be hard, but i promise you once you push yourself to get out there and get fishing it will definitely help!
The Scenery was absolutely Stunning Well Done man! 🍻🇨🇦
Thanks mate, beautiful place isn't it!
Fantastic.
Thanks for watching!
Nice family day out , lovely video . atb
Thanks for watching!
This particular lake and its neighbour are my two favourite in the UK! Chance of Char too 😁
They’re amazing lakes aren’t they! Have you ever caught a char in either of them?
@@adventurefishinguk Not yet, no! Had my PB brownie out of the Northern lake though and aiming to get a char at some point from there too - try it at least once a year.
I need to get ma'sel up to Scotland soon! Beautiful!
Thanks for watching!
Looks a beautiful place to fish. Catching any size of perch is always good fun I love catching perch they are beautiful fish. I haven't fished for them in a while been fruitlessly thrashing the water with the fly rod for salmon lately.
I couldn’t agree more! Perch are great fun and yes it’s a stunning lake isn’t it. I bet there are plenty that look like this in Scotland too
Super video. What a stunning place. Think those perch ( although perfect) have a pretty lean existence. I’m sure the family had a great day out.
Thanks mate! Yeah I agree, considering how big and probably sparsely populated the lake is there can’t be much food
Nice one George. It wasn’t a waste of time walking to island and back. Just think of all that free exercise your getting in absolute fantastic surroundings 😊😊
Very true, it was definitely hard work! Thanks for watching
Absolutely brilliant video mate, I love walking out in the mountains, but haven’t fished them yet. You’ve inspired me mate. Can’t wait for the next one
Thanks for watching mate!
Nice one George,stunning place 👍🏻
Thanks mate, beautiful isn’t it!
Great video.
Thanks mate!
Smashing video George, lovely scenery as per usual 💪💪💪💪
Thanks for watching mate!
You pick the most amazing places to fish 🐟
Thanks mate, I do try!
You’d love wading streams for some native smallmouth bass in America. Up there with my favorite type of fishing/target species period. Getting an 18+ incher in a stream is a fantastic fight. 20+ incher really gets the adrenaline pumping and is tough to do.
You’d be right at home based on what I’ve seen when you trout and perch fish in streams
That sounds like great fun, it’s a dream of mine to come fishing in the USA!
@@adventurefishinguk you’d have a blast! Great content my friend, keep it up! Tight lines
Looks like an amazing place for a good days fishing!
It was!
Cracking Video and what an amazing place
Thanks mate!
What a cracking place and the ideal spot to take the camper and family. Arent those little perch long and thin? the ones here in the Cambridgeshire Fens are much shorter but deeper. Not monsters but great fun fishing all the same.
Really cool place isn’t it! And yeah they’re very thin. I don’t think the lake is very nutrient rich, a fish of that length as you say would be loads deeper somewhere like a river or drain!
Great video, even better to spend time with the family!
Have you ever fished in North Wales? Hundreds of amazing looking mountain lakes I've walked but never fished.
Thanks mate! I’ve fished north wales a lot in the sea, not much freshwater though. I’ve blanked once or twice in Snowdonia after the wild trout. I definitely need to explore it more though!
@AdventureFishingUK if you do come back, can I suggest llyn celyn near bala,a big water surrounded by rolling hills that a village was flooded to supply the north west, also Trawsfynydd,ex power station water, huge perch, pike and trout.
@@garethjones7693 thanks for the recommendations!
Where were your crocs when you needed them?! Loving those boots though are they new?
They are new yes, I got a great deal on them from sports direct!
You couldn't have gone so close to that spot and not stuck a rod in. Fish or no fish, what a beautiful location.
Very true, thanks for watching!
Hi George it’s mason great video I caught my pb trout yesterday 😁 it was about 5 pound hope your doing well
Hi Mason, sounds like a great fish. Was that a wild brown trout or a rainbow trout?
@@adventurefishinguk rainbow it was in a fishery unfortunately I had to kill them it was two fish and you had to kill them they were good tho 😁
Well done 5lb is a really nice trout 👍
Where is this place ? Really beautiful
In the Lake District 👍
You need to try ouse Bridge on bassenthwaite lake
I'll have a look thanks mate what's it like?
@@adventurefishingukI’ve told you about this one on insta but it had a fish kill down there and there’s not many big perch about and it’s been ruined by tourists
@@adventurefishinguk it's OK for pike and salmon coming thru I had a 13 pound hen fish last year
Do have to get permits to fish these lakes or can you just turn up and fish
It varies from place to place mate! This one you need to buy a permit for
I got a pb on pike and it was 12kg
Well done, that’s a beast of a pike!
Me and my dad was wondering if you wanted to come up to Scotland one time and we could do some fly fishing as he got his first fly rod if your free one time(mason)
I'd definitely be up for that at some point! Hoping to do a bit of a scotland tour in my van with the family next summer
Okay we could maybe arrange some time caught some of my first wild brown trout really happy about that it’s hard to catch because my local river gets polluted but if you came up we would go to the spey as it’s one of the best salmon rivers in Scotland
Hi, im going to buy the RR3000 for pike fishing what kg line would you recommend 20kg or 30kg?
It depends where you're fishing. If it's snaggy, I'd go 44lb or maybe 33lb if its quite open water. Rigged and ready do great line too, don;t forget to use AFUK10 for 10% off!
Thanks!😊
You should order yourself some wet socks, not sure if that's the correct description. Wet suit material socks.they will protect your feet and help with the shock of cold running up your body.
Yes you should make sure you keep your feet warm 😂😂
Good suggestion I’ll look into it! Thanks for watching
There called seal socks.
