Hey, thank you for sharing your time in New Mexico, it took me back to a very special time in my life. Love that area, the art , the food , the views in every direction... and the colors, omg the colors! There is no place else on our Earth quite like it. It's easy to see why Georgia O'keefe fell in love with it.... and lucky for us that she did.
It truly is a magical place!
❤ New Mexico is my heart place. I visit several times a year. I loved your photos- it shows you really “got” the New Mexico enchantment feeling. It is a magical place- full of art and beauty, but also contradictions. Every time I go I want to create a tapestry of its views. Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree!
I just retired from 37 years of teaching elementary school, the last 21 in New Mexico. Every day we salute the flag and the Zia symbol “of perfect friendships among United cultures.” 😊
Thank you for bringing such beautiful highlights of my home state to your viewers! I was born in northern NM, raised in southern NM, and I think ALL of it is beautiful, even the scrubby desert in the south, and I love it when other people see and feel that beauty.
I can’t speak highly enough!!
Selma, thank you for putting together such wonderful footage of the retreat. My heart is still full and I’m feeling so grateful to have made the trip and to have spent such incredible time with you, Lauren and the Ghost Ranch girls! I have met so many new friends, I feel so inspired to travel more and to make more connections and all for the love of knitting. This episode is such a beautiful memory. Thank you ❤
And we are so glad that you came!! (this is Marianne ❤)
Supremely happy that you made the trek! 😘😘😘 it was a pleasure to spend more time with you and be in awe of the place together!
Hi Selma. The bag is beautiful. The stitching is beautiful. You are very talented. Take Care. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Thank you Selma for such a great podcast ( as always! ) The footage of New Mexico at the end was fascinating......I have recently watched a programme about Georgia O'Keefe and her life out at Ghost ranch, an intrepid woman and a wonderful artist. The scenery there is so compelling from that programme and now from your footage. What a fabulous place to have the knitting retreat and oh that blue sky!! ❤
I think it may be calling you 😉😉 it truly is a magical place!
As always, a very interesting and inspiring episode. Thank you very much for the video of New Mexico and the hiking trails! The scenery is just fantastic! Thank you again

Beautiful podcast, Selma! The sweater you had on was beautiful, loved the colour. The shawl for your MIL is gorgeous, I like the turquoise in it too. She will love it. The 5 skeins you received will be fantastic in a long sweater. Thank you for taking us with you to NM, so beautiful. Have a great time on your trip to Spain.

Also, I love all of your project bags! The denim one with stitching is particularly delightful!

Dear Selma, What a wonderful episode. I loved the footage of New Mexico so much! Thank you for sharing, love Christina (from Austria)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I always enjoy your podcast. I wonder what kind of work you do, because you travelled to Europe for the job earlier this year, but apparantly you also have a lot of spare time to make wonderful trips, do the workshop, travel to Europe again etc. That sounds like a great job! Wishing you the best.
Still here and you are welcome. Not sure New Mexico has ever been on my travel radar but now I need to go.
The place is magical!
Thank you for sharing your trip & retreat to New Mexico, I enjoy your podcast from the San Francisco Bay Area California USA

My pleasure 😊
Thank you for the amazing footage from your trip 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a wonderful time for you, enjoy
Yes, thank you!
Thank you for the memories of Santa Fe. I was there for an art quilters' conference several years ago now -- visiting galleries. (the Georgia O. *twice*!), buying a bit of turquoise (earrings) from a native vendor in the downtown market. No trips outside that city but I loved what I saw there.
I love all the romantic knits you showed! I haven't seen most, and I'm left quite inspired! Knitting isn't just about all the big chunky sweaters. Those 5 skeins of that beautiful tonal yarn? I think you should knit a lovely long cardigan covered in cables! Have a wonderful trip to Spain!
I’m glad you enjoyed the romantic knits!!
A long cardigan it will likely become!!
Thanks 😊
Thank you for you wonderful video('s). Watched a number of them in the last couple of weeks 😊 love to hear about how you feel about some yarns/patterns. Thanks so much for the beautiful beautiful footage at the end (yep, I stayed 😊) loved the song at the end, really moving. Happy knitting and have a wonderful time in Barcelona!
You picked some very beautiful patterns. Thanks
Thank you very much again ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
You are so welcome!!
I’ve visited NM several times and Santa Fe is one of my favorite places!! My sister and I attended our first Fiber Festival there a few years ago. And visited the Georgia O’Keefe museum!! We did several hikes and enjoyed seeing the wonderful landscape. Box canyon was awesome! Fabulous area, thank you for sharing your experience.
It really is!
Lovely episode thank you. Thoroughly enjoy your chat and seeing your gorgeous knits. I’ve added so many patterns to my Ravelry wish list thanks to your inspiring podcast. I had no idea New Mexico was so beautiful and the colours - wow! It’s fall in the UK, with lots of bright days - and rain! - equally beautiful but in a different way. Enjoy your trip to Spain. Looking forward to hearing all about it in your next podcast. Love and blessings, Linda xx💕
Love the last pictures from New Mexico. It looks so nice and varm, a bit like Australia, Alice Springs area. Thanks 🙂
Lovely episode! 💕💕💕
Thank-you for the lunchtime company dear Selma 🤗 Hope you are having an amazing time in Spain!! Thank you for all the great summer T ideas. I am struggling with my Clotilde Cardigan by Knitting for Olive currently and I want my next knit to be simple so I can have some enjoyable knitting time. You have given me lots of wonderful ideas. I love knitting summer tops and I am so ready to get started!
Beautiful New Mexico scenery 🤩. I visited my sister @geninne (who is a the best artist living there 😁😁😁😁) a couple of years before the pandemic, and totally fell in love with the land. See you soon in Barcelona 🥳🤗
👋 me alegro que vine a mirar comentarios porque ya no me acordaba de tu nombre! Fue un placer!

The shawl you are making is lovely, and the colors you have chosen are perfect, I look foreword to seeing it when finished. The retreat sounds amazing, and I love your walk through NM, it's a magical place.
Thank you so much Selma, for sharing your amazing Retreat would like to know about the next one if any. That was such an amazing experince. Have fun in Spain. ❤ Good to know you had a great experience.
Thank you!! I’ll share once there is information out!!
I watched to the very end! Thank you Selma for a great episode. Waving hello from McKellar Park, Ottawa.
Hello there! You are very close!! Say hello if you ever see me!
Thank you for sharing. I will have to look up Marie-Cristine Levesque designs. Her designs seem to be timeless so it will be interesting to her other creations. It sounds like your trip to New Mexico with the group of artisans that came to learn and to share their homelands was full of great interactions and I remember from visiting family members in New Mexico the dry weather has a certain amount of comfort about it, when you revisit it in your mind it brings on comfort and relaxation.
It can get hot in the summers but it sounds like you experienced moderate heat, I love licorice tea. This video had so much great content, well worth the time invested in watching.
Lovely!!
Hi Selma. I like your videos. You are a great knitter. The socks are beautiful. I am not good at knitting socks, but I am trying to learn. 😊
You can do it! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for again deliver a lot of inspiring knit and lovely footage. 😍
Enjoed the episode very much! Beautiful footage from New Mexico! Hope you will be able to do the workshop again. I was on the waiting list for the retreat, but didn't get in. 😢
Have a wonderful time in Spain!❤❤❤ Ewa.
She will be hosting again next year. I don’t think I will be there but I’m sure it will be wonderful!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the desert - we live near the border of the Sonoran and the Mojave - the Joshua Tree National Park is my hiking ground, just in our back yard. Being a senior, I was eligible for a lifetime pass for $10! So I enjoyed knitting on my project with a mug of Joshua tree Coffee - a local organic brand that I love. But I also enjoyed the art and the hiking. A FB friend has an art gallery in town there. Oh Spain!!! How marvelous. I'm so happy that the challenges of this year were balanced by wonderful things. It helps!!!
I live in Santa Fe and think you captured the spirit and beauty of this part of the world quite well. Maybe I will check out the knitting retreat next year. I love it here. I refuse to go anywhere else around Christmas as it is the place to be.
Glad to hear it!
Lovely to see my favourite yarn on your channel, hearth sock from woolly mammoth. Highly recommend

Thank you so much for lovely videos from New Mexico. Last april I’ve been on a roadtrip in California, Nevada and Utah. It is quite interesting see all those yellows and other fall colours. Best wishes from Oulu.

I love your music also.
I have one of your fish bags! It always makes me think of you. Lovely episode as always.
Awwww 🥰 that is so lovely!! I really do love that fabric’s whimsical pattern 🐠
Selma, thanks for another great podcast. I too have been drawn to feminine sweaters lately. Thank you for suggesting designers that I haven’t heard about. One designer that I love is Valentina Bogdanova. I have made three of her sweaters and they are very well written. I am currently finishing up the Anisia which is beautiful and I can’t wait for cooler weather to be able to wear it. Love New Mexico. Such a different landscape than most of are used to. Enjoy your trip to Spain. My husband and I were there and in Portugal in 2019 and can’t wait to return.
Joji Locatelli has a long cardigan that would be perfect for your British yarn dyed in Ireland
She does have such things! I’ll have to keep that in mind
Amazing how different it is out there compared to the east coast US where I am. Pretty cool. Looking forward to hearing about Spain!
I got a email newsletter from Eweknits yesterday Nov 9, and I saw your picture of the Test knit for the Violeta. It looks beautiful. Good for you!
