I love how you communicate with Jersey! You speak to him like you would anyone else. I think that is so important. You explain things to him but not in baby talk and that is how he has learned to communicate. My last child is 7 years younger than her next sibling so we never talked baby talk to her either. When she was three and I asked her what a yellow traffic light meant instead of “slow down” she said “proceed with caution!” Great job guys. 🙂 He’s so smart!

Jersey is a joy to watch! He is sooo smart. I love when he uses his words to let you know that he absolutely understands what you are talking about. Like when asked to make a choice, he said “no person”. He has a beautiful personality. You guys are nurturing beautiful little people. It is a joy to watch them. I love his hair. Jersey is so smart and articulate I love the way you guys prepared him for his first haircut my son was afraid of the noise from the clippers and cried for the first year . I can’t wait to see the second part.
Literally adore Jersey as if he was my own family 😩 such a cutie 💙 1 suggestion though, i watch all your videos and you should try to stop referring to his afro as ‘crazy’ hair any time it’s in its natural state. It’s a bad connotation that can be offensive to others but it’s also historically used as a negative way to describe black peoples hair in their natural state in order for it to be seen as ‘less than’ or ‘not normal’ compared to the straight silky hair of Caucasians. Due to words like this growing up a lot of black girls/boys grow up to dislike or think negatively of their own hair when their fro starts to show. Sending all my love to you guys, the rebranding was a great idea! 🥰❤️

I said the exact same thing on their last video. I believe the dad thinks that because he loves his son, saying that is no big deal, but he should listen to people trying to tell him that words like that describing Black hair in its natural state is not cool. With the dad's history of racism, he should understand that he may still have some of that negativity about Black people deeply rooted unbeknownst to him as many of us do.
Well, me and my family have straight hair and we call it crazy too when it’s not cut for a long while. Just want to give you perspective that saying this, is not something to make fun of black people. It’s just a common thing to say, not used to harm. And I’m 100% sure that Justin is not making fun of his sons hair because it’s afro, he is making fun of the hair because it’s not cut for a long while. I think it’s kinda over the top to tell him to stop saying it. Why call him out when he is full of love? Thats the thing I don’t understand. There are 10000 problems with racism that needs to be solved. But a dad calling his sons hair crazy isn’t one of them. Would you say the same thing if it was a black dad to a white child?
(Don’t bash me because I’m not black, dear comment section, just try to read my words for what they are, without thinking my ethnicity is making my opinion less)

It was a struggle with my daughter when she was young. I did the same. It broke my heart but there was soooo much less friction between us. It was not a good battle to fight. Hair grows back also.

What was unbelievable for me was when he sat on the counter and didn't touch what was in the bowl. Kids his age don't usually follow instructions.
