- Wade fishing for Speckled Trout is some of the most fun you can have, especially when you can entice them to bite artificial lures! If you are thinking about trying this style of fishing out yourself but don't know where to start consider watching this video for a few hints! If you're unfamiliar with the area or don't have a boat to discover new areas try looking at google maps. A lot of times you can find some good spots simply searching around the map!

Caught you an ole “snot shark” lol thought for sure you had a red. My question is when wading out can you see these sand bars or is this from knowing the area and experience?
Haha yea I had a feeling it was a catfish or a red. And kinda both. I’m familiar with the area I fish so I know where most of them are, but google maps is a great tool to find fishable spots if you don’t have the experience where you fish

Yessir, I think that twitching gets there attention and when the lure glides while your reeling is when They really smack it!

Nice video! I used to love to go wading at this spot in Daytona Beach in the evening on an outgoing tide. Lots of trout and snook but especially the "no see-ums"! Hope your charter business is going well !

Capt. That was some quality trout you caught up. I don't think that I could have passed up taking a couple home for supper. I had to have my wisdom teeth yanked out too. Best to get er done if Doc tells you too. It's all good.
If those trout were flounder I definitely would have harvested a few. Speckled trout arnt my favorite to eat, but I love catching them. And that’s right!
Hey dude, I got a new boat (20' Express Bay) awhile back and I live in Vicksburg (Map says 3.5 hrs, actual closer to 4.5) to Gulfport The one time I thought all the tools I had (Bouy info, Wind App, coastal camera's) would work I got there, launched, only made it to second channel marker and realized it would not be safe (and I promised my wife I would be safe) so I loaded back up and came back. I don't know how close you are to the coast anywhere from Pass Christian to Biloxi - but if you are close I'm wondering if I can add you to that list of tools to check in with before I start the drive. Do you prefer the Slick to Paul Brown's Devil?
I haven’t had much experience with the devil. I’m sure they are very similar but if I’m not mistaken the PB devil has a treble hook paired with it? Not sure if I’d like that
@@CaptCollier Yes sir it has a single treble and the body is solid, seems like the slick has a cut out where the hook is inserted. I'll have to try the slick once and see how they compare.
