This is actually deep. Parents always want the best for their children and unfortunately kids only realize this when their parents are not around anymore. Cherish the times with your parents while you can and make them proud.

You are so right ... It's not until we have children of our own and they leave home and the day to day responsibilities of teaching them all the skills, education and moral lives and how to problem solve, while teaching them all they need to become the best people that they can be as they travel through life with all its u hills and valleys and hopefully plenty of plateaus know to be prepared for all they will need to know before they leave home so that they reach whatever goals they want so that they can have the happiest and most fulfilling lives while also giving back to the world at the same time. That's a huge responsibility for parents take on, especially no training for the most valuable role we can have in our lives. It's only once they start out on their lives that it becomes most evident. We mourn for those years to do over again because it's only then that we begin to understand where and how we went wrong. We can then only try to do our best to own it, and apologize and tell them where we made mistakes and how much we wish that we could do it over. I think that's why grandparents are more easygoing on their grandchildren because they have learned where we went wrong, and then we do our utmost to try to encourage our kids who are now parents of their own not to make the same mistakes we did. We also try treating our grandchildren the way we wish we'd known and understood when we were parents and doing the best we knew then, what we've grown to learn the hard way. I believe that all new parents intend to do their very best they can be with the knowledge and circumstances they are in at that time. I believe that all parents want to, and try their best to raise their children the very best they can. It's only through experience that we learn all this, and it's also why the more childrenchildren and grandchildren that we have that we truly understand just what a huge part of our lives our children were and so we are not as strict with each child that comes along that we realise that maybe we could loosen the reigns a little without the previous ones coming to the harm that we feared so much with the first ones. Parenting is the most important job we are ever given in our lives, but it's the one that comes to us without any instructions or manual. I can't wait to see my grandchildren and have the time, patience and understanding that their parents can't give to them as they are the ones who need to have limits and discipline that the parents can't give them as much as they would like because they have a different role to play than parents do. Grandparents can be more lenient as long as the children have an understanding of why they are allowed to spoil them, but they must also never contradict the parents in front of the children so that they don't become confused and co e up with the "well grandma let's me do it" ... as it still has to be discussed and agreed with by the parents as they are the ones who are responsible if the children play up. Each family member has a role to play in a child's life, so it best that all of those in the child's life understands their role in raising the child in the way they believe is best, as long as all concerned are singing from the same hyhm book and all agree with the reasonable regulations taught with love and are in the best influence of the child. COMMUNICATION between all of the adults involved with the raising of the children is essential and the agreements must be agreed to by all who care for the children and must be raised early on so that concerns that began as molehill and continue until huge mountains that they need professional intervention, and we all know the cost of these things and the anonymity they can cause.! The better the relationship between parents stops any of the kids trying to pit one parent against the other as a way of manipulating one parent against the other. I learnt this lesson the hard way when my son did it with me!
This is why you need a combined and an open relationship with the other side with whom you share custody. If you are experiencing this maybe even write a line by line list of your concerns that you'd like your ex to consider for dialogue and you can either take photos or share a coffee on neutral ground which would also keep the children out of the loop until there's agreement in place by both parents in agreement. I hope that is useful as it's all from first hand experience. .

Thank you for reading this story to us. I am still learning English and I am doing something related with writters who are alive and inmediately I thought in Amy Tan. Why I thought in Amy Tan story?. In one hand it is because this story is the same difficult relation that many families have today with their children. The daughter wants to be herself and the mother wants to her daughter be a person that she was not at all. And the other hand neither of twos have not name, to me it is something to think, isn´t it? Another situation that I love Two Kinds is that Amy tells us a serious situation with humor. Greets.

John 3:16-17, “16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. All you have to do to get saved is to believe that Jesus took your punishment when He died and that He was raised from the dead on the third day!
Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”
You may think, “Why do I need a savior?” well “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” But we can have eternal life through Jesus Christ and him only.
John 14:6, Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
