I mean judging by the fact that Larson has more wins then Elliott I say his career is really still much intact chase is good at road corses that’s only 7 of the what 36 races this year and he’s only won 2 of them he needs more intermediate track wins to topple Larson

Hard to believe he never won Road America in Xfinity as good as he was at the end of this race. However, AJ, Allgaier, guys like that were racing Xfinity on road courses and other road course ringers then.
Would love to see him do some Indycar or get a F1 test

It’s the best track in the history of the world. The only thing missing from yesterday’s race was road spikes, severe thunderstorms, the entire top 4 Hendrick cars, and don’t forget mandatory competition cautions 😎

Its weird when they compare total wins because while he is currently the best in Nascar..who knows who is the best ever? Gordon only ran 2 road courses per year. Chase now runs 7. That's 5 more chances per year. In a 10 year span Gordon would run 20 road course races. In that same 10 year span Chase will run 70. 20 road courses for Gordon compared to 70 for Chase. Chase has 2 wins at Watkins Glen and 0 at Sonoma..the only 2 road courses Gordon ever raced on.
Chase is good. But it's too early and the circumstances are so different that its impossible to tell. Look at the win percentage at the end of their careers.

It's a little of both. Like superspeedway racing. You can have the greatest car but have to have to have the talent to drive it to victory lane

Coca Cola 600 on memorial day
400 on the 4th of July weekend
Southern 500 Labor Day weekend.
I'm open to other opportunities for the other races lol. Just keep those where they belong.

Used to be the hot dogs and the Fire Cracker 400 at Daytona were as 4th of July as the Flag. Wow wee!!! What a squeaker!! Elliot wins,, again on a road course. By a photo finish of almost 6 seconds. 3rd 8sec. 4th 15 sec. back, but 10th was only 24 seconds back. And now Nascar thinks we need 8 road course races a year. I just don't know if my heart can take all the drama and excitement. Man,,, can these races get any more boring? It's bad enough they left Fox now and went to Nobody Better Care, oh gosh I meant NBC. Well next Sunday there is a good paint drying competition going on. I think it seriously may be more entertaining .

These road courses on TV are boring to watch and this was the most boring of all. The Fire Cracker 400 was an Event, a happening. American as apple pie.
