I don't know if the boiled prawn guy have any quests since I haven't finished the game yet, but I'd advise not killing him, you can still get Rya's necklace by simply talking to him and buying it for only 1000 runes. Besides that, great video, a lot of things that I missed in Liurnia, gotta come back for them
Its better to buy from him and keep him alive because he is essential to the Dung Eater's quest. Spoiler below: You need 5 Seedbed Curse and Blackguard has one of it once Dung Eater went after him.
@@abrahamkresnik9726 there are actually 6 in 1 playthrough, 2 in Leyndell, 1 Volcano Manor, 2 in Elphael and 1 on Blackguard. So realistically you can kill him and still complete the Dung Eater quest
not sure if this is well known or not but if you're tired of enemies, bosses, and invader npcs dodgeing all your spells use the night shard and night comet spells. these "nearly invisible" spells are rarely if ever actively dodged by the AI ingame. these spells are strengthened by the staff of loss and can make very short work of bosses and npc invasions as they will just keep running right into them. also, it's well known that you can use the physick to prevent the loss of your runes on death for a time. did you know it will also prevent the ones you dropped from disappearing? if you use it while attempting to recover your runes the dropped runes will stay and any runes you collected in the attempt stay as well. 07
it seems dung eater will spawn regardless of if BG is there or not but im not sure if he'll have the "Boiled Crab" item on his bell if you kill him before Leyndell
@@gallowz1980 I can confirm after failing the quest line and killing the blackguard, he does not have boiled crabs in his bell. You need to progress his quest to get it.
Only a pure idiot would kill the dude selling the prawns. later on, he sells you boiled crab which is a buff that gives you 20% damage negation for 3 minutes. This alone is the best item in the game no matter what build you are using especially if you consume it before every boss fight

The rule n.2 of every From game (the n.1 is GIT GUD, always), is that all NPCs must live during first run... and when everything is done you can make the cosplayer of a butcher and do what you must for their loot. But if you care about the story or the possibly outcomes of their quests and items, they should always live. In future NG or NG+ you know what to do and decide if you need their questline or not and do your thing.
Thops is not easily missed since most churches ruin holds sacred tear , I think most easily missed are secret doors and the albinauric village, since in the map it looks like a mountain but if you get closer youll discover it.
Don't kill the guy at the shack, he has more content, helps you fight a boss maybe two, and sells you great stuff you won't ever have access to if you kill him. Some merchants/NPC's gain new items in their store as the story progresses, but if you kill them and take their ball bearing their inventory never changes since you killed them and ended their story. I'm so sick of all these Elden Ring "how to" videos made by ppl that either don't bother to mention or haven't actually played the game to know that what they are telling new players to do will break quest lines and fuck other shit up for the player.
@@orc001 Well to be fair early on even the wiki was giving out bad or incomplete information, though it's getting better now. I found this out when I somehow managed to agro Bladid when trying to call him down from the ruins in the woods. I looked it up and was directed to use a celestial dew at the church with the turtle pope....I wasn't even a level 10 yet but I was set out on a journey to places I later found out I had no chance of living through yet. I was given the impression that the questline would be screwed if I moved forward with the story without fixing the issue first, so I spent around 30 levels exploring, finding the way to the church only to find that the dew was going to be an even more difficult part. During this time I stumbled into the village of the albernautics and got the first half of the dectus medallion, but to my surprise when I tried to go back to the round table hold to upgrade my weapons I triggered the Ensha invasion...which wiped the floor with my still low level ass. So I couldn't go back to the hold to upgrade my weapons anymore, but I needed to be stronger and have better weapons to best him ...just so I could finally go get the dew. While going through all that some time had gone bye so I checked online again, low and behold I find out that I can get a different dew much easier, or I could have just started the damn game again since it happened very early on...but no one in the plethora of online "help" options had mentioned these things that would have saved me a ton of time and bullshit. So now I try to at least warn ppl just in case they don't know yet, it would be great if they made the npc quests a little bit harder to break or fuck up accidentally... especially by exploring, you can't give ppl an open world and then punish them for exploring it in the wrong order without even knowing what they are doing. Hell we have big channels and "game journalists" putting out PvP how to builds that include cheating and using obnoxious glitches, which is turning pvp into a retarded hell. I just don't get why these fools are so lazy that they can't put in the time to play the game, and instead they just copy and reword what other channels are saying...thus continuing to spread the trash information and promoting cheating to new players of the souls games. I guess it's really not much different than the regular tv and news now days 🤣

For Crystal enemies use blunt weapons to crack thier armor pro tip it doesn't even need to be upgraded just go ham with a Morningstar or something non bladed they you can do all the upgrades

Just buy the necklace off him and then buy prawns, the best food in the game, and suddenly you're best friends, and he will help you fight against the magma wyrm on the tunnels bypassing the dectus lift. Use the Ancient Death Rancor against the Crystalians. It does high Poise damage and after they stagger for the first time they loose their hyper-armor.

Only spawns at nightfall, same with nights cavalry. All locations are night only spawns as far as I know except the death rite bird in the snowy mountain tops.

The Glinstone Pebble is weak, see Selen for for the large one - a big improvement.
That winged sword insignia is pretty clutch when using the twin blade stacked with other damage enhancing talismans.

When fighting the Crystalian boss, just use a blunt weapon instead of a blade or magic. I used a damn caveman club and beat the tar out of her.

One that can help with scarabs the whole ash of War, use Falling star Beast Jaw or a spell that casts wide.

on a side note if you start the game as a mage. you can get comet azure and stars of ruin without killing any bosses.

"Blackguard" is pronounced "blaggard," not "black guard." That's also why you don't put a space in it.
You can get the necklace without killing him

Pretty sure when someone likes a message of yours it heals you wherever you are, so I wonder if you can get several people in their own world to constantly like and dislike your message over and over to perpetually heal you in a boss fight or something
