Nearly 2000 schools have been destroyed, prompting the closure of all remaining schools until further notice.
The rains have ravaged Kenya since March, marking one of the most catastrophic weather events in recent years.
Now, Kenya braces for Cyclone "Hidaya" which is expected to hit the country and neighboring Tanzania, potentially worsening the flooding.
Authorities are on high alert, deploying resources to assist affected communities and mitigate further damage.
