Joss Stone is amazing. What a talent
Joss is absolutely amazing. I was there at that show at the Roundhouse. Fantastic experience! Our first time seeing her live.We've travelled to see her several times since then, and have tickets for a show coming up, finally in my hometown of Houston. A beautiful soul in every sense! Cool story about the song, and it's connection to Houston, too!
Joss is not hard on the eyes. But her voice is off that charts. Never understood why she didn’t become a superstar in America.
I read when she was offered a contract. They began telling her to do this that and the third. She said nope. Gave them their money back went home to England. She wasn't selling her soul.
Van a tener que usar el traductor. Creo que ella no quiso volverse una superestrella en estados unidos. Creo que fue su segundo o tercer album, (de lo peor de su catalogo, en mi opinion) que hizo canciones mas radiales, mas pensadas para ser hits, mas "comerciales". Incluso su imagen estaba mas sexualizada, con su cabello rojo y explotando mucho una imagen de niña precoz, cuando no se si era menor. Supongo no le gusto demasiado y volvio a sus raices, hacer soul. Y lo bien que hizo, se creo su propia imagen, muy diferente y su exito es moderado pero mucho mas agradable de escuchar sin la mano de los productores de marketing.
Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone were two white,female Brit soul/r&b simgers who helped introduce a new generation to that style in the 2000s. I wonder if a young Norwegian singer will do that in this decade?
