Thanks for sharing. Great memories. I had the stunt cycle and Evel Knievel figure. I remember watching his stunts on TV. I pre-ordered the Pop and Ride.
David ..the Archie's puppet says BETTY on the puppet ..heeeee.. also in today's World people would freak over the Charlie Chan puppet's ..miss the good ole days of toys ...keep it going
My family used to work at the Ideal toy company factory in Jamaica Queens. My mother my aunts my grandmother used to root hair into doll heads. My mom told me about rooting hair into Shirley Temple dolls. My uncle used to pour vinyl into the molds..
I wish. I really truly wish but to be honest they were just working in the factory making very little money at the time but definitely more money than the workers in Mexico were making when the owners decided to close the factory down and send the work out of the country 🤨
@@OpenByChance to my family it was just work. I’ve tried to ask my uncle about it but the most interesting thing he could say was that it was kind of creepy making those Shirley Temple doll heads 😂
Have a BATTLING TOPS , HANDS DOWN , HANG ON HARVEY , MOUSE TRAP , KERRRrr PLUNK , Tip-It ...LOVed these game's when I was young ...Ideal made some KoOL toys :)
Santa Claus was very generous that year, because I got a lot of things, including the Evel Knievel with his cycle for Christmas in 1975, and have an audio tape to prove it. Today the only Evel Knievel item I have is the figure in the white suit. I know all about catalogs falling apart. I just got an Aldens Christmas 1980 catalog yesterday, and it's falling apart.
I remember having a bowling game, but very blurry memories, and I cannot remember what kind exactly. I do know that I had one though. And with Evel Knievel being so popular back then, I am almost certain I had some kind of toy related to him. I found this video.....you might be interested in it >>>>> ua-cam.com/video/bJiJJUhs62U/v-deo.html

The Evel Kneivel stunt cycle is a classic!

I've got more catalogs, so I'll be doing more of these!
Nice walk through Memory Lane👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Evel Knievel was my favorite on the catalog. Those archiie and fat albert puppets were cool to.
These old catalogs can spark a lot of memories!
I have some denys fisher & palitoy catalogues and a few kenners i love looking through them.
They're interesting, especially when something never produced is pictured.
The uk catalogues from the 70s had a fold out slip that was put inside the front of the catalogues with prices on .
1973 was the year I was born. I never knew that Evil Knievel came out in 1973, I got one when i was 8 years old, it was a very popular toy in the UK.
Evel was one of Ideals best ideas!
My cousin had an Evil Knievil figure and motorcycle, and I had a Crissy.
Great stuff!

That's very interesting, you must have some stories to tell from what they've told you.

Because those race sets WERE huge. My friend had one and it took up about half a basement.
Never had one myself...

They sure did! A lot of what Ideal made was pretty underrated!

Many of those older catalogs didn't stand the test of time unfortunately...
You could have the catalogue professionally re stuck it would be worth it its a nice booklet
Can you do a video on what happen to your past collection and what you lost
We were going to do that, probably a discussion in the next couple of weeks...
