Just read her article in Scientific American trying to debunk the long standing theory that men were evolved to hunt and women to gather. This is what happens when an ideologue abandons critical thinking. She actually makes the claim that women are superior to men in endurance sports (spectacularly false) so therefore were better able to hunt game. She equates the former belief with the assumption of male superiority.
This article getting published at all permanently tarnishes what was once a respected publication.
Thank you for pointing this out.
There are races of extreme endurance 65k+ and men win them all. Mens marathon times are much better?
Shhhhhhhhhhhh stop stating the obvious
listen she’s doing her best ok, it was take your daughter to work day
What is a woman?
How many anthropologists theorizing about roles and gender in the past have actually hunted? Seems a lot like sports journalists who never played the sport.
Is anyone these days primarily a (persistence) hunter?
They are grasping at straws and ignore contra-evidence. They make the most s*ist modernist scientists look very honest and respectful in comparison
@@TheDerstine Yes various modern tribal societies. Some who had little contact with civilization as well. Tribal societies where the hunters are overwhelming men conveniently.
Or where runner or bicycle racer....or just anything that can be similar
"What? You want me to read this map? Okay, let me just turn it upside down so I figure out which way to turn" - the apex hunter
Take you baby with you the next time you go deer hunting and let us know how that works out for you…
It is completely ridiculous to claim that women have a better aptitude for hunting than men. In almost every sport, men perform significantly better than women! she bases all this information on weakly substantiated 'evidence' about just a few archaeological discoveries and a metabolism that would work a little better in women?
I was waiting for the men being triggered in the comments. LOL
Stay mad nerd
@@Peem_pom “It turns out Paleolithic era humans diets consisted entirely of fecal matter according to some questionable ‘evidence’ I found, but it fits my narrative so I’m going to present it as factual”
“that doesn’t make any sense and flies in the face of everything we know of evolutionary biology”
“lmao aww poor widdle baby man got triggered!”
@@jdog1944mad about what? That this research is bogus? Lmfao.
In case it wasn't obvious that they didn't get their jobs because of their ability 😂

So, if I was in a marathon, and crawled all the way, my pace maintained the entire time, where would I fit on those graphs?
I'd be the best right?
"Reduced muscle damage during exercise", remind me, how do muscles grow again?
Wow so pleased to find this now! Yes, I agree with equal taxpayer funded research for separate genders! Because I tracked NSF grants requiring drug testing for both genders to obtain funding……..then I found results with 499 males and 1 female aged 65! The equivalent of a snicker. Also believe separate gender results are the safest way for more accurate data results. It doesn’t make sense to force mush results, then require drugs react identically across genders. They don’t!
This was a very interesting talk, thanks for sharing this information. I wondered how the age of the estrogen hormone was determined? It is fascinating to see how a preexisting chemical has presumably been recruited as the main female reproductive hormone .
Wonder inducing presentation that makes perfect sense. It makes me question everything I ever learned in general. Thank you.
Wow so pleased to find this knowledge. I wondered the way how the estrogen hormone was determined! It is also fascinating to connect the biological sex of the species with archaeological evidence.
Of course women have to have endurance.Childbirth can take days!!
Great talk. Makes me wish I had not given up studying Anthro!
Anthro can keep you fascinated for life. You can keep studying as a hobby by watching talks like this or volunteering!
@@billy-bg9rx 🤣 Fatality!
We see this in nature. Lions for instance. The series Ancient Civilization on Gaia TV explains also how women were once leaders and warriors - Boudicca for instance, Amazonian women too.
The battle of the sexes.
We must stop comparing and open our minds and hearts to our unique gifts. Yin and Yang energy is within us all and creates balance ❤️
How do you know that Yin and Yang energy exists?
@@HelliarCOH her astrologer told her.
Open our hearts and minds... but not our eyes, because that ruins the illusion.
