Hi sir I have a problem I want to share my problem with you sir actually I am very confused about my future caries I want to become a data scientist but there are two way one way is directly get admission in bachelor of data science but unfortunately I can't meet elgiblity criteria of university for bachelor in data science the other way is if I complete my bschlore in statistics then master in data science Now which way is good for becoming data a scientist Pleas sir guide me
A lot of you were asking about Maths for DS and This is just what I have needed so far of course, so if you've used different area let everyone know in the comments so we all learn from each other!
Your genuine approach and clear explanations have really resonated with me. I've searched through countless videos, but yours stand out as the most helpful and inspiring.
Yes my mate got a job as a data modeller it’s a just a glorified name for a database admin so he uses union and intersection on the daily basis to explain how tables are connected especially it comes in handy when normalising the database
Thank you so much, I’m in high school and I really want to be a data scientists in the future, but every other UA-camr keeps telling me that it’s hard and that it won’t work, your videos is so inspiring I feel more confident to be my dream job now
I use relational algebra (database algebra) as a sql developer. To help understand how relationships work between sets of data when doing joins and etc.
hi that's very interesting, but I don't really grasp how you would use it to understand how those relationships work.I mean yeah it is a more formal representation of those relationships, but how do we actually make use of it?
I am an industrial engineer with 3 years of experience in quality and process improvement. I had a six sigma course for better knowledge in process optimization, and what I really found studying how data affects and reacts to each process is really important. So now I decided that I want to study the data science roadmap and integrate this knowledge with my experience in process improvement. What do you think ??
Hi sir I’m currently in college as a computer science major, I just finished my first year meaning I passed calc1,calc2, mechanics, and discrete math. I’m being taking a break this summer, and honestly I forgot almost 80 percents of these knowledge since I don’t use it, however I still have the basic idea of what is the point of these classes. Should I make a quick review or just keep going taking my next classes such a Linux fundamentals, data structure and algorithms, machine learning, etc etc
You might need some of the discrete math for data structures and algorithms, and will probably need all of the math for machine learning(depending on the depth of the course). You would do yourself a huge favour to keep going on the math. There is a book "Concrete mathematics : a foundation for computer science" that I would recommend. It might be harder than your discrete math course, but if you spend some time each week on math before going into year 2, you'll save yourself a lot of time later because you'll have put extra time into solving problems and thinking with math.
What if I dont know squat about maths? I hated math and haven't even tried learning it since i left school. Can i waltz past it and still learn data science?😅
@@datanash8200 I got a D when I did my final exams to go to Uni. I don't know that I can do better. But thanks for taking the time to answer. Need to think of I can still do this based on my challenge with Maths ...
im doing a biology degree and enjoyed my module covering R. Do you have any ideas in what type of jobs I can get into related to data science without a specific data science degree? I could possibly choose modules relating around data science to compensate for the lack of an actual data science degree?
Please sir, am a Nigerian but I want to do my masters in Data science. Please is there any university that offers scholarship for MASTERS in Data Science. Finally, please sir which university did you attend
If you want a free PDF version of the roadmap to get into data science, you can get it here : www.datanash.co.uk/

I watch all your videos, keep up the good work. I like seeing your honest views on the industry and Journey so far.
Thanks Charles! I'm glad my videos are helping even a little!
I chose to study Data Science because of you! Thank you very much for the information regarding the degree!

I knew at least one person would! That's so cool, I didn't even know it existed til that one module

Awesome video, thank you for sharing this 🙂
No problem Johnny!
Love the videos great content
Thank you!!!

Considering the amount of math and coding required do you think a math major with a compsci minor would be a viable option for education?
That's literally a perfect combination
Can I ask what university you're doing your masters at? The structure of one year of studying and another year of work is pretty good
University of Liverpool! I made this video talking about every module in it so you can see if it fits youua-cam.com/video/2bzOVq5CUbY/v-deo.html
Hey man!
Should I study a bachelor of science in economics or International business to work as a data scientist?
Btw, Keep up the great work!
study bachelors of computer sceience please, or even Bachelors in statistics or mathematics
Very useful content. Just found your channel and am loving it.

What if I'm not good at maths?
Forget about it
Straight out the mind😂
You only need A Level maths and stats. Nothing crazy and complicated.
Very true. I guess if you plan to go deep into machine learning you might need a bit more?
What is A level math
Wait, i was thinking Data analyst required the less math 😮
If I hate maths, can I study and practice data science?
Yes
What if I dont know squat about maths? I hated math and haven't even tried learning it since i left school. Can i waltz past it and still learn data science?😅
You need at least a decent understanding

You definitely can, a few people on my degree had a biology undergrad
Look into bioinformatics.
Why r when everything can be done in python ! And moreover focus on etl pre processing the data as well those are equally important as the analysis

Hi mate, not sure on scholarships as it varies by uni. But I went to the university of Liverpool
is integration(of calculus) also required in data science?
Yessir
Hey, which bachelor degree should one do to step into this field?
Any is fine but stem subjects are easier if you dont want to do a direct bsc data science
Sir, I am studying to be a masters in data science, so is it possible to do an internship parallel?
Tough to do it at the same time but possibly
This sounds so difficult :(
i'm crying :'(
It's not bad once you start doing it!! You can do it
great.at which uni did you complete your masters in data science? im looking for a good uni to apply to.

Did you have a background in Mathematics prior to your M.S.?
Nope, last did it in my final year of high school besides some light biomechanics work during my undergrad in sports science
