7% of my portfolio is airlines (CPA and DAL). I bought around a year ago. I think the industry isn't very well run right now, and it's dragging down sentiment on the quality companies. Both DAL and CPA are executing very well. CPA is trading at 6X forward earnings and is expected to grow 10% YoY.
Can’t help but compare every company with Forward PE over 40, to NVIDIA. And I ask why buy it over NVIDIA? Only reason I can think of is diversification.
There's a few reasons tbh. 1) Nvidia is riding a wave that we don't know how long it continues for. The numbers their coming out are insane, but do they still grow crazy? 2) semiconductor is still a cyclical industry. Might not feel like it for Nvidia for quite a few years but it is.

I like MELI very much. Great management team. Interesting cruise line plays, Carnival was packed when I went on a cruise not too long ago.
All Cruises are seeing insane momentum but the stock, not so much
