I’ve been struggling so badly with my mental health. I suffer from depression & anxiety. I also have a chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in my right hand after being bitten by my cat & contracting sepsis in 2017. For 18 months I spent more time in hospital than I did at home. I endured 16 operations & months of physiotherapy. Despite the physio I’ve lost the use & function of my hand. I’m learning & adapting everyday.
I was depressed beforehand but ‘stable’. It’s a different story now; my mental health has plummeted to a dangerous level. All of the medical professionals who are supposed to help control my pain & keep me safe have let me down time & time again. I’ve tried to end my life twice in the past few months. Strangely lockdown made me feel safer because my family were home but they’ve gone back to work now & I’m often home alone with my negative thoughts.
I’ve been open with family & friends about my situation & I’ve learnt to not feel ashamed or embarrassed. Mental health affects everyone & I think it’s especially important to stay connected to friends & family. Sometimes something as simple as picking up the phone to call or message a loved one can have a huge impact on both their life & your own. I’m trying to take one day at a time, one foot in front of the other.

Being Me I’m really sorry to hear about all of the problems you’ve had, my mum keeps getting kidney infections that lead to sepsis, and I think that’s had a major blow to my mental health and made me paranoid about my family’s health 24/7. But keep in my mind your surrounded by loads of people who go through similar situations that you can relate to in someways and always keep your head up and stand tall

I really love the message in this video about comming to terms with the negative in our lives. I'm going to try to keep this short but I have intimate knowledge in this department.
I was born with a rare degenerative form of juvenile arthritis. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis but now they call it Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and there are different forms and I have no idea what I have in regards to today's standards.
Anyway, most of my life, my doctors, family, and teachers all forced me to operate under the lifestyle of "overcoming adversity." What I mean by that is that I try to ignore my pain, to push through it. Be strong and try to be as normal as I possibly can. In theory that sounds awesome. Unfortunately the reality was, the exhaustion of my disease and the effects of my meds had me unable to do well in school. I was given a pass in Gym, thank fricken god, but everything else, I was measured up against kids who didn't have bodies that were constantly fighting themselves. That's probably the biggest gripe I have with the education systems around the world. By having one rubric against which every student is measured there is no choice but to have them competing with eachother. People aren't like that. We're individuals with individual minds, emotions, and abilities. Physical ailments affect more than just the body. But I was treated as thougu that wasn't true. I understand trying to do mind over matter, and if I ever did complain I was taken seriously, but I ended up as an adult unable to know when I needed down time.
Currently, I am 38. I now have three diagnosed physical illnesses (one of which tried to take my life once in 2018 and again in 2019) as well as Social Anxiety Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder and Depression. My arthritis has me bedridden, wheelchair bound and dependant on my province in Canada's disability support to live and support my little family. I was decently mobile until I had my son nearly 12 years ago now. I still have trouble with letting things go. I stress about not being able to do things and I am convinced that had my doctor told me, while I was still 3-5 and onward, that it's ok to need to take time off, it's ok to not be able to do things. It's ok to quit. I think that last one is a biggie. It's one thing I made sure to teach my son. Put as much effort in as you can. Give it a good try and do what you can, but if in the end, you need to quit, do so. There is no shame in admitting defeat. I think it's something so many people need to learn, we can never properly take care of our own mental health if we are tought all our lives that if our everything isn't enough, then we are lacking. It's so far from the truth because not everyone is capable of the same things. And some of us are capable of very little, but that is ok. In cases like mine, it has to be.

The box was really beautifully done. But honestly that’s the end for me. Godric’s Hollow is such an important place and I don’t think the items did it justice. The gravestone was my favorite. It looks really well made and means a lot to the series of course. The wreath is a beautiful tribute to the scene between Harry and Hermione but I wasn’t really impressed with this one. Then there’s the coaster and it’s beautiful but I always hate when you only get one coaster. And then Hermione’s hat. Obviously well made but just a nod to the movies and those aren’t my favorite. I prefer boxes that pick things that didn’t get in to the movies. Oh and I didn’t really understand putting After All This Time on pumpkin juice 🤷♀️
I feel so mean but I have a very small income so spending it on a special box means I am trusting them with the little bit I have to make something special so I think I may sound finicky. But please anyone reading this know I am not saying any of this in malice. I really am not a mean person I’m just a bit picky with my Harry Potter items. So please know I mean all of this in love 💖💖

I am Autistic and have C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, and panic disorder. The USA has been terrible with this virus everyone is just acting like nothing is happening and opening everything up. I feel so scared all of the time. I don’t leave the house if I don’t have to and I haven’t seen my daughter who turns 20 next month since June 😭😭 I just want to be able to hug and snuggle and hold her. We have never been apart from each other this long in her whole entire life. 🥺 I’m not getting any of the services I am supposed to be getting like house cleaning, cooking, occupational therapy, physical therapy, regular therapy because I’m disabled and these people go to your home and they can’t be going in and out of people’s homes so I am really struggling right now.
