The queue was closed at 10.45pm on Sunday. Chrissy Heerey was the last person to pay respects to the Queen when the lying-in-state closed at 6.30am on Monday.

She admitted in an interview that she had already been in the queue earlier and gone through the hall, but had come back round to go through again. There were others behind her in the queue who were then turned away, not having been through at all.

She did what millions of us would have liked to do… a last, final, silent, bow of respect -for whatever reason, whatever POV, whatever context, we deeply personally felt- to a defining figure of history (with ERII, the 20th century died, for better or worse)… thank you unnamed lady, for presenting the respects I wished I could have presented personally!

For those who don't know. This is actually her 2nd round. A selfish woman who's into her feelings so much that, because of her, there were thousands who were turned off after the queue's deadline ended.

True, but she gave up her own time, did she not (too, I think she actually had not expected to pay her respects to QE II twice) ?
Good grief, what you said made zero sense. She is ONE person. Thousands of people would not have replaced her ONE spot. Once the deadline was reached, they closed the gates and no one was allowed to add to the queue. It would not have been hard to go twice closer towards the end once additional people were not added to the queue and all she would have had to do is go through the hall and walk around and queue again, but would not have been taking anyone's spot (certainly not thousands, since they stopped allowing more people past the deadline to ensure the coffin was ready for the funeral).
I would take my kids, if I had any... and all the while, through the queue, and during the walk past, i'd be like :
"Kids... pay attention. This... this here... remember. This... this is irrelevancy."
