Am i the only one who wasn't like... living for Dahlia's look ??? I mean I was living for the pastel colors, aaaand that was it. I can see all the work that was put into the garment, and I respect that, it's just not my cup of tea.
I hated Dahlia's look as well
It was awful. The colours were lovely but the garment was like 2 sheets pinned together and the ears looked like wonky antennae.

I'm not really enjoying what Jan is doing, because she does not have a clear aesthetic. It's very obvious that she has ordered costumes that she thinks will give her points on RPDR, but they have almost nothing to do with her usual drag style. I simply do not feel that her drag is very honest on the show. Other queens can be show-stopping while still sticking to their brand. She can't. Her looks seem to come from different queens. Sasha Belle made that mistake in season 7.
Jan was giving me fashion-forward Monikkie with her look. She's been impressive so far. I wouldn't sleep on Jan even if she was a memory foam bed with adjustable positions and built in heating pads.
The fact that aiden wasnt in the bottom for that look still shocks me

Idk i read like "beginner club kid", there was a really good color pallette going there but it looked unfinished.
@Nicolas Wardlow that's not true. The main challenge is the determining factor for whether or not a queen will be safe, top or bottom. The runway serves as a tie breaker. So between the bottom 3 who's runway is better where it can save them from being in the bottom 2.
One week later and last night’s episode had the same outcome. I liked her a lot in the beginning of the season but clearly her caliber of drag is just not on the same level as any of the other girls

She only wore it ONE time on the runway, stop complaining. YAll straight up hate aiden, but favorite crystal. Aiden didnt even wear it in the worlds worst while crystal did . Crystal had that mug 9 TIMES and 2 Times on the runway while aiden only wore that wig 5 times and 1 time on the runway. Stop going for aiden because of her style and notice what other people are doing

I think many viewers forget that a lot of these queens have very little to no funds and can't finance elaborate costumes for the show. Some can, and that's great, but others were blessed to be chosen but haven't built up their wardrobe or finances yet to match.
@@eedoe that may be true, but it's no excuse. Monique Heart and Chi Chi Devayne were able to put looks together with no money. Aiden's look was a cheap sweater dress with a few bows on it. And she called it LISA FRANK realness. Unexcusable.

I’m so glad Raja complimented Crystal's makeup! I love it myself, and I wish Michelle would accept that some queens have a signature style that doesn’t necessarily mean they're “hiding” their true selves. I looooove Michelle, but that consistent critique really bothers me.
Michelle seems to be stuck in an idea that drag has to be glamorous and pretty. She's also a hypocrite and contradictory on her critiques. She never criticized Trixie on S7 for her makeup

I was just going to post a similar comment. I've watched multiple reviews and they all seem to like it. I think it's really bad.
I don't like the asymmetry of it. I love asymmetry but this just isn't balanced. There's not a lot of shape to it either.

The critique that Raja and Raven offer their audience is so much better than what Rupaul and Michelle say on the show.
Jan has one of my favorite looks ever on the show. It gave me Yovska vibes and I loved it.
But what Jan is bringing has very little to do with her drag aesthetic. It does not feel like she is representing her own drag on the show, but has ordered looks that she thinks will earn her points in the competition. I have a hard time liking a queen without a clear aesthetic.

I don't love how they are handling it. It makes the viewing even weirder, because you are constantly reminded of how weird this season and the edits are now. Unfortunately, it is ruining the season for me.

I really liked Heidis look. The use of all three primary colours made the look pop despite its campiness. Why do people dislike Heidis look but like Dahlias? Makes no sense.

Yeah. I have written this on other comments, but to me, it seems like Jan is not really representing her own drag. It's more like she has ordered looks that she thinks will make her win. But they have very little to do with her aesthetic, which makes them feel like they are not representative of her drag, and like they are looks borrowed from different queens rather than part of a curated, overall aesthetic related to her drag persona. It bothers me.
