Great story but it would have been good to have images.

A Commander would never be in command of a fleet. That would fall to an Admiral or at the lowest, a senior Captain. A ship's commander is also referred to as Captain by the crew unless they are an Admiral and never by their first name. Wish writers would know something about military doctrine. Other than that it wasn't a bad story.

I wish a human would edit the AI generated stories and would take into account things like chain of command and normal actions we would expect when something like this probe enters the solar system. If it isn't heading directly towards inhabited stations or earth why would you approach it and take it onboard? A Capt. would not do this without first sending a comm to headquarters etc.

Is there nothing more enlightened than war? This gets old fast.

Captain Marcus Steele? Seriously. Same name used in so many of these AI generated stories. Stoped listening as soon as I heard it

Another female lead Human empire. Every character trait is: fearless, fierce, resolute, determined, unconquerable, steely, undaunted, and many more characteristics used to describe men. But noooooo we need women to replace men not only in position but even what makes a man a man.
    Really sick of these stories.

Reminds me of Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of the UK from 1979-1990. She was known as "The Iron Lady". She's the one who sent the Royal Navy 7,947 miles to The Falkland Islands 3 days after Argentina invaded on 2 April 1982.

@Thoridin58 I am not deluded. Time passes, but nature doesn't change.
