Good power, quiet, solid, efficient, and lots of tech. This car is in my top 3 picks for my next vehicle purchase which now include: Infiniti Q50S Hybrid, BMW 435i x drive Gran Coupe, and the Audi S4 Prestige.
I really like how eager the car is to shut the engine off whenever it can, how it fires back up instantly, and the fact that the hybrid maintain's Infiniti's impressive, throaty exhaust note.
@@tomasmalin hybrid cars and cars with auto start stop use beefier starters considering how much more often they are used under normal conditions compared to a normal car. They also have larger batteries to compensate the energy needed to start the engine.

it is special because the infiniti manager is the son of the nissans manager it is amazing because when the son(infiniti) was 18 his father (nissan) gave him a company .
RV4U wtf r u babbling about? Infiniti and nissan are not seperate companies, the name infiniti doesnt even exist in most of the world, they are just rebaged nissans. For example the g37 sedan and coupe are called nissan 370gt in most of the world literally the only country that has it named infiniti is the US because japanese people understand that privelaged americans car so much about how they appear to others that nissan would simply not be competitive enough against bmw audi mercedes and lexus because of brand recognition
@@E46325mod sorry to burst your bubble but infiniti is in fact a separate company under nissan's management. Just like Lexus is under Toyota, Acura under Honda, Genesis, Maybach etc. They're all the same function, provide a more luxorious, sportier and expensive car equivalent to the main brand. You just sound like an infiniti hater which is fine, but at least get your facts straight.
My dilemma is either Nissan Skyline GT350 Hybrid AWD or Honda Legend Sport-Hybrid AWD(Acura RLX Sport-Hybrid)... speedwise Honda Legend seems to be a bit faster and a more luxurious, but Skyline looks a tad better... Please help me
Prontoklasik yes, this model was equipped with drive-by-wire steering. In standard mode it feels like normal driving and when you cross railroads or drive on a bumpy road your steering wheel stays straight. You do still sense the road and get feedback through your steering wheel, it just doesn't impact your driving, which is a good thing. In sport mode the steering feels very direct, but a bit on the heavy side for my taste.
Very interesting to see that most of the time, the tachometer meter (engine rpm) pointed 0 when the car was actually running between 40 and 60km/h or more. Must be quite quiet during that time.
That's not an Eco meter - it's the batt/elec-motor equivalent to the RPM gauge. Blue side is how much battery is being charged; White side is how much battery is being discharged. So you can tell whether elec motor is generating batt charge or contributing horsepower, and to what degree it's doing those things. Let's you know what's going on with the electric motor at any given instant.
@@APsupportsTerrorism you just defined an eco meter in a typical hybrid hahaha. It's much preferable to have it like this with an rpm gauge and a small eco meter like in this case. You don't see the typical charge, eco and power labels but in this infiniti that gauge literally represents that in a simplified way.
I never understood the reason behind a hybrid q50 that still uses a big 3.7 liter v6 all that hardware miney and extra work put in this car to give it an extra 15-30hp... it makes absolutely no sense
It's not really about the hp gain. It's more about the improved fuel economy and the gain of torque. I have a G35 and no matter how I drive it, I have trouble getting more than 20mpg and only 260 torque it's only fast once it is moving.
E46325mod uhhh it uses a different 3.5 L v6 not the 3.7...and what about the 470 pounds of torque this monster puts out? That’s only 10 less than a fucking Ferrari Enzo that has a 6.0L V12. Sounds like it’s worth extra hardware to me. Oh and the thousands you’ll save on fuel...
To get the most torque you need to stop the car in M downshifting to 1 and not pressing hard enough on the brake for it to shut the engine off. Then you're at a full stop, with engine still on. If you punch the accelerator it will plant you in the back of your seat. It's nothing like a GT-R launch of course, but if you have a chatty passenger it will shut them up for a bit. Disclaimer: I have a feeling this wont work as well with the pure RWD version; I can tell the ATTESA AWD activates when I do it.
+mrcuboid just stating the fact that they are way behind in the LUXURY mid size sedan segment. you dont need to condescend like you know everything about cars
