Yes! This famous mansion was recently sold or bought by a competing real estate broker or company! I was waiting for it to come down in price and was caught off guard on my vacation in Florida! It was sold! Now my sales agent will see if I can buy this mansion from the owner or agency for more than they paid. Five million more should do the trick or spark some interest! I want it so that is that!
Too damn much lol..between taxes, maintaining the grounds,heating/cooling,AND staff...whew!!!..that’s a hefty price tag...I seriously doubt if anyone buys it...I would be cussing my wife out..I built this home for you and you decide you don’t want it anymore....lol oh no!!!...we’re living here so suck it the hell up..and enjoy your new home..all that money gone to waste...smdh 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Almost 10 years now..... started at 68-69 mil. Now @36mil. A few more years and it will be 5 mil lol.. (EDIT) zillow says 11 mil but you know how zillow can be. 18 Frick Dr Alpine NJ 07620
Waste of money it's okay but there's some renovating to be done. Also if I remember the wife decided she didn't want to move in the house after it was built for some reason about distance or preferring to live at the other house.
It's a great estate and superb location.. I especially like the gorgeous wood floors in the attic! Needs some updating though, not a single USB outlet in the entire home... Just nit picking now... lol
@@krystalco9782 - It could be good for an older person with no children (or grown children), so no need for a school nearby in that case. Probably older millionaires would not want to go out to night clubs either, they would have literally everything they need there on the estate. And don't forget that someone rich enough to buy this probably has multiple other homes where there are things to do. I read an article that Nichols Cage at one time owned 26 homes. I agree, this location would not be good if you were young and have children. Oh and there's always "home schooling" too if you're that rich! LOL
The Stone Mansion is beautiful but I understand the views are seen from the front door to the back door. A better design would be to have an "adventure approach" in discovery. I always avoid the front to back see through design. The chosen contemporary furniture does not compliment the home. I think using traditional or 18 century furniture would be in keeping with the home's grandeur.
Absolutely true Cheryl when we were making the house itself the furnishings unfortunately were not overseen by us hence why they completely clash with the appearance of the house but of course they felt like modernizing it and that is not something we could get behind so all in all it was not up to us (the home constructors) because we didn't have a say in that department.
It's been on the market for like 3 to 4 years, so it is no longer brand new. They started the price at $50 Million, and have now dropped it to $39 Million, and it still hasn't been bought. The upkeep alone will cost at least a million a year, not counting the property taxes. They have to be around $350.000 a year alone. In a few years it will be foreclosed on and then it will sell for around $15 Million.. lol.
@@jzmoro8752, Yes, in 2010 when it hit the market for the first time they were asking $68M. But it was taken off the market and then when it was put back on the market it was listed for $50M. Then it was on and off the market many times, with the price dropping million$ each time until it was listed for $39M in 2018. There are some brokers that still say the price is still too high.
I hardly ever enjoy big estates, as they are just not so well decorates. But this one is a true masterpiece.
You don't want to pay for the upkeep.
If only! What a stunning property!
They didn't show the 2 story library. 😮
The house is stunning feels like you are in a different era. If only I have the money to buy it.
Stock up on some $AMC
I was waiting for Gatsby to turn up any minute.
price ?
This property has been on the market for years.
The property taxes are outrageous, over 800K per year, on one wants such a heavy tax burden.
almost 10 years now.
@@yvonnebarash9373 Exactly, because of the horrible politics in New Jersey unfortunately it makes this place a glorified money pit.
@@yvonnebarash9373 if you can afford to buy that house you can easily afford to pay for taxes you won't be complaining if you're a billionaire

How much cost to run this mansion, monthly?

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
1 Question, how much are the taxes per year?
Approximately $28,k per month, $84k per quarter, $336,000 per year.

Yeah, taxes are way too much! I'd rather live in a smaller place and give some money away.

It's so tempting. Beautiful, Heaven. I'm thinking to build like one. But yes, not 30,000 Square feet. Perhaps 5500 Sq/F.
