Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on February 15, 2016.
Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is written and directed by Rian Johnson and continues the storylines introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, welcomes back cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. New cast members will include Academy Award® winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award® nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.
Star Wars: Episode VIII is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin and Tom Karnowski. Joining the production crew will be some of the industry's top talent, including Steve Yedlin (Director of Photography), Bob Ducsay (Editor), Rick Heinrichs (Production Designer), Peter Swords King (Hair and Make-Up Designer), and Mary Vernieu (US Casting Director). They will be joining returning crew members Pippa Anderson (Co-Producer, VP Post Production), Neal Scanlan (Creature & Droid FX Creative Supervisor), Michael Kaplan (Costume Designer), Jamie Wilkinson (Prop Master), Chris Corbould (SFX Supervisor), Rob Inch (Stunt Coordinator), Ben Morris (VFX Supervisor), and Nina Gold (UK Casting Director).

Adam answers so sensibly. He's not even trying to be funny but some of his answers make you unexpectedly chuckle. He is just so real - analysing the question and then answering sincerely.

Yes! And there is still this bit of adorable awkwardness that makes him so human and down to earth. He's probably the most experienced actor of the younger generation of the cast, but he is so humble about it. I just love him for it.
Neurofunke I think I understood him perfectly or near enough. He isn't actually joking most of the time he's just saying what he believes and I find it funny because it's true. A lot of the points he was trying to make is everyone is different. Every single experience a person goes through whether big or small affects them and changes how they interpret and see the world.
Mark, Carrie and Harrison have been through it since the first movie in 1977 and they could sit and tell John, Daisy and Adam what it's going to be like, being so famous in the biggest movie franchise ever but ultimately people are different and it affects them differently. Like Harrison Ford seems a very care free person, who doesn't give a shit(in a brilliant way). So it probably doesn't bother him like it would most people. Where I think Adam Driver is a more laid back, doesn't like the limelight kind of person. He isn't in as much promotion for the movie as the other main cast and I reckon it's because he'd rather not do it too much. So ultimately the way they choose to deal with it and how it affects them will be totally different I would imagine.
Some SPOILERS for The Last Jedi:
and the other question he also says is personal in the same sense. Like I said at the top, Every single experience a person goes through whether big or small affects them and changes how they interpret and see the world. Adam isn't joking when he says "for some it will probably be nothing". its funny though. Like for The Last Jedi a big theme in the movie is failure and how people learn and grow from it. So for people who have experienced big failures in their life that will relate with them and is probably the big thing they will take from the movie. For some it will be relating to Rey and being alone not knowing who their parents were. Her realizing it's not her parents who define who she is, it is herself. Some people will not relate to any of it and take away nothing of importance from the movie. And that's whats so special about it, that every single person in the Cinema is in the same room, watching the same movie/experience and yet everyone will be interpreting the movie differently and will have a different experience.

Adam says things as if he takes common sense for granted, something I don't see a lot of these days. By that I mean he has a lot of common sense and it amuses me how he regards that as normal (which it should be). He's very intelligent and down to earth. I deeply respect him for that.

He's super awkward in these big interviews, when he's surrounded with a lot of people, but when it's only him and the host, I feel like he's more relaxed and naturally funny. @Zoe Kin Honestly, people that are attentive and deeply contemplating something don't look spaced out and expressionless; they look focused and interested (eye movement, furrowed brow, facial expressions reacting to the ideas they're hearing). It seems pretty clear that he's inside his own head at this moment, not listening intently. I'm not trying to be difficult or disagreeable just for the sake of it, I just truly don't think he's 'genuinely contemplating' her words.
Watch the whole thing again and pay attention to him. It's possible he's had some drinks and/or is VERY tired, but it's pretty clear that he's not happy (with where the franchise has gone, which he's made pretty clear by his many comments in other interviews AND this one). It's obvious that he doesn't want to be there. He doesn't crack a smile the entire time except at his own comic relief, even when everyone else is cracking up. And it's made all the more clear by his answer to the question just before ~27:40 "it's longer". He's said it in a few interviews as an underhanded jab; it's funny, so that laughs help disguise it, but really that's a shot at the fact that he doesn't find them very significant. He also can't help himself from joking about having a part "twice as long" as his part in TFA, which was just a few seconds. He's bitter, sure, but for good reasons that aren't just personal.

Adam Driver is the Harrison Ford of this trilogy...he has the same demeanor doing interviews and answering questions...he probably asked Rian to kill his character. He’s funny tough!
I've read an interview with Driver and he genuinely doesn't like being a celebrity. He considers acting a job that ends when he's off camera/stage, so he probably doesn't want to be there at all.
I think he loves Kylo and loves Star Wars. I don't see him as the type to sign on to a movie he doesn't like, especially one this huge. I think he just feels very uncomfortable in the spotlight.

Men that gorgeous normally aren’t as gorgeous on the inside, but he’s truly just as beautiful inside as he is out. Just a genuinely kind, humble, smart, talented, incredible human being. This conference group interview meant very much to me. I'm a die-hard fan of the Star Wars movies in order 1-9 and and I'm watching #9 again this evening and I just wanted to write, Thank you very much for this video. It made my 2023 new year first month the happiest January I have ever had, in my whole life.
