- This is my piano arrangement where I'm challenging the breathtaking musical genius of Hans Zimmer's "Time", composed for Cristopher Nolan's 2010 film, "Inception".
This masterpiece left me in awe the first time watched Inception, and it still has this magical effect on me. Hans Zimmer is definitely my favourite composer for film music, and is also considered to be one of the greatest composer of all time.
I was lucky enough to experience one of his live shows in April 2022, Telenor Arena in Oslo (Norway) - and it was pure magic. If you ever get the chance to see Hans Zimmer's liveshow, I'd recommend you buy a ticket while you still can.
Unfortunately I don't have sheet music, since I only play by ear. Sorry about that :(

How big should my hands be for this arrangement?
Hmm human size? Hehe, just kidding. I actually went and measured my hands+keys to give you an honest and accurate answer.
With your left hand the biggest stretch is an octave + 1 (9 white keys), which means you need to comfortably be able to stretch 20,5 / 21cm.
For your right hand the biggest stretch is an octave (8 white keys), which is approx 18cm.
Here is the references:
Left hand: A - E - B (like shown at 2:07) = 21cm
Right hand: C - C (like shown at 3:38) = 18cm
With that said, it's always possible to play your own version - especially if the stretches hurt. If it hurts, you should avoid playing my version and make it into your own and get creative. That is much more fun than damaging your hands.

I love that part as well. This is a somewhat difficult piece if you're a beginner, and especially the part starting 2:06. However, it also have some easier parts too - if you'd want to impress your friends :)

Even though you can’t read sheet music, you can still provide MIDI files as there are apps you can use to translate them into piano tutorials.
