This is a great song. It's not about devil worship. You sold yourself short by not watching the video. One of the best videos out there.
Sure it's not. 👍😂
He may actually have a heart attack watching that. Lmao One of my favorite Tracks by them
@@factfreedom4624 it’s not 😐
@@jaycapone1437 😑
@@factfreedom4624 it’s not satanic you bozo
It's about the bad inside everyone, nothing to do with satanism
Well said a man of iron maiden i see good job
This songs not about worshiping the devil,it’s about the band trying to get over the death of their bass player Paul gray
Didn’t know that, I just jam like it’s nothing. What the hell is wrong with me
I thought that was the song snuff.
@@theoneeyesamurai but bass guitarist was still alive so no.
@@theoneeyesamurai naa, Corey Made Snuff With Paul. And after he died, it was basically Corey's and Pauls song together in a way. Like it was Corey's connection to the song. But paul wasnt dead when they made snuff. But he died during this album. So basically almost every song have something with paul in it. Like lyrically i mean. The name of the album : The Gray Chapter. so yea
Min Thang bro what he died in 2009 ???
Everyone has a devil inside. Not always Satan, but there's a devil.
Well said Freddie Mercury
Honestly you seem to consistently miss-judge songs based on their titles... Try to keep an open mind and don't take everything so literally
I honestly don't think you would've been scared of this song if it weren't for the title. But no worries, this song isn't about the devil or being possessed. If you wanna keep up with Slipknot I recommend Duality. If not I recommend Circle With Me by Spiritbox.
Duality
When u said atleast his voice is smooth in my head I said “just sit and wait”😂😂
😂😂😂😂
SPIT IT OUT, TRUSTS MEEEEEEEEEE, YOU'LL SCREEEAAAAM
More specifically Spit it out, Live at Download 2009! That concert was dope!
Hell yes! 🔥
The fact that you think they're possessed speaks volumes to thei ability to express the real darkness that happens in life. These guys aren't devil worshipers at all. Think of it this way. Their bars are just way more dope than 99.9% of rappers. Same shit, different sound
Man, u gotta stop equating the word 'devil' w/ anything satanic or unholy... I could name a bunch of artists that have satanist themes in their lyrics (Mayhem, Behemoth, Deicide, etc.) but Slipknot isn't one of them (except for some references like 'The heretic anthem') In most cases, 'devil' refers to the dark, insidious side of human beings... or harmful impulses or evil figures.
Motley Crue has a song 'Shout at the devil' ... Dio had 'The devil cried' by Heaven & Hell ... Metallica had "Devil's dance" ... Megadeth had "Devil's island" ... Ozzy Osbourne had "Devil's daughter" ... Judas Priest had "Devil's child" and 'Devil digger'🤘🔥
Take the song 'Black Sabbath' by Black Sabbath in 1970... 'Satan' is mentioned as a dark, malevolent figure in a nightmare... but that FREAKED out religious purists who condemned Black Sabbath in America in the 70's & 80's.
Thank you
@@dainbramage3558 Your username is brilliant!
agreed, jojo could be missing out of alot of great tunes because he looks too much into the mere mention of the word devil
@@megdelany5688 thank you also 😁
John Frusciante's song called 666 is named for its timing and has literally nothing to do with the devil. Also, last 3 numbers of my phone number are 666 and I'm also not into devil worship! 😂
Judging a song by it's name is like judging a person by the looks
I agreed, but the looks tells much about a person
or judging the book by its cover

From most (not all) rap songs that I've actually listened to the lyrics can be quite vulgar, so I'm wondering why songs with these titles/lyrics are considered offensive -In my opinion they're just singing about the inner demons we all have - Just an observation
As with many bands, the use of the Devil and Hell in their music, lyrics, imagery, and artwork is not meant to be glorifying Satan. Most of the time, it's simply shock value used to scare people, similar to how Horror movies use such to scare people. Metal in many cases is the Horror genre of music. There are some bands that actually do sing praise to Satan or at least use him as an idol, and that's mostly in Black Metal and Satanic Metal, but as far as bands like Slipknot go, no, they aren't Satanic.
This song has to do with the depression and anger the band felt after the death of their bass guitarist Paul Grey, whom overdosed on Morphine and Fentanyl. Lead singer Corey Taylor says that the song is about them looking at the selfishness within themselves to move on from their grieving.
Metal generally has actually very little to do with satanism, some black metal bands use the imagery, but on the whole it is usually theatrics and shtick more than actual belief.
Said this 6months ago but I hella agree
Even as a Christian, don’t see the Devil in a real sense but only as metaphor. Reacting to songs is about getting absorbed to meaning and the beat and rhythm and melody. Theatre is part of art. In some countries, Christianity is seen as a antagonism and evil. So, songs let’s it all come out.
Exactly idk why ppl read “devil” and assume its the real devil 🥲 it’s basically what u make it
We are the devil
Lovedn spoke to the lord since 84
Spit it out live in 2009 is one of the best live performances ever. Check it out
"Duality" is all I'm saying....🔥🔥🔥
The Devil In I' is really about the war inside yourself," he said. "Trying not to give into defeatism, trying not to give into negativity, trying not to give up basically. It's a struggle. It's one of the hardest thing you can do, is to give in to that side of yourself - Corey Taylor
Slipknot - Snuff (album version)
Slipknot - Unsainted
"Duality" next!
Seriously though spit it out live by slipknot, Snuff acoustic by Corey Taylor (the singer playing solo) or the documentary that came out a few years ago when this album was released would be a great reaction. The history of the band, their highs, lows, and losses. Might explain to you why these people wake up so angry as if they were raised eating nails.
If you watch the music video, you would 10 times scared
he was actually, he just didnt show the video, but he was obviously watching.
@@UltimateGamerCC oh ok
You can't take lyrics so literal. I really wish you would do your homework before listening to so many of these songs... you would appreciate them so much more if you knew the meaning behind them first. It wouldn't ruin the reaction; it would just give you a heads up of what they're talking about.
Pulse of the Maggots is a nice one too.
You should check out Soungarden. Awesome grunge band.

This song is about when your bad side takes over. Like when you just can’t be mr nice guy no more that’s it. And you need to check out Nero forte by slipknot and solway firth. The story of Corey Taylor is amazing. He explains how slipknot formed and al definitely check out his bio
Damn JoJo, killing me. Scared, hesitant, the headbanging. Love your reactions Bro.
that jump was hilarious.

FRIGGIN AWESOME IN CONCERT LIVE🤘🤘
LFR Jojo: Im not into that devil worshipping crap
Behemoth, Immortal, Dimmu borgir, Rotting Christ, Mayhem, Gorgoroth fans: Dont worry, it will grow on you, HE will grow on you. *Smilles Deviously*
I love slipknot but i cant with those bands theyre are just ridiculous imo
And the funniest thing is they also don't worship Satan haha
@@cw175 yeah same. I can’t even do death metal. Except good ole chucky and those flawless albums by death. But that’s the heaviest I’ll go. I’ll stick to thrash speed nu and heavy metal
@@user-nc9ct6ky3z Mayhem totally does, actually...
@@UltimateGamerCC they are pagans they have mentioned it in a couple of interview
Can you please react to AC/DC - For Those About To Rock Live at River Plate next? Thanks!
No one cares about that shit, we want more of this heavy shit.
@@tots8982 you cared enough to leave a reply
@@x8nis yes
@@tots8982 I cared enough to agree with you 100% I fucking hate AC/DC. Obviously a very successful band, but I can still hate the shit out of them.

SPIT! IT OUT!!!
LFR: “at least his voice is smooth”
Me:” oh he has no idea what’s coming”
He looks so scared while listening to this song lol. I listen to it to wake up in the morning
That intro is like a slap on the ass from the Devil...one of the best drummers that has lived, J. J.
You should react to I love rock n roll from joan jett, one of the most famous rock song ever
Yes! Show the lady rockers some love!
As Shawn "Clown" Crahan once said.. it takes nine severe personalities to do what they do. Love Slipknot
I’m liking and subscribing just for the jump scare, I’m dying over here.
The video to this song would open your eyes son.
It’s actually not about the devil worship at about one of the band members that died
And dealing with your own inner demons
The darkness- I believe in a thing called love. The guys pitch is insane
"I'm pretty gangsta, but..."
- Every rap fan when they start to listen/react to Slipknot or some similar heavier stuff
I’m a new subscriber keep up the videos, your reaction is priceless 🤘🏻
I’m gonna start you off right.
Venom- welcome to hell
🤘🏻
GREAT song
Heh, sorry about the jumpscare at the beginning.
Love it, totally what I would expect from someone that enjoys sounds but doesn't understand or care for art.
another song you might be scared of at the start of it is “them bones” by alice in chains
Love that fucking song.... Skeletons of society was also a prophecy
This is not about devil worship! I’m ready for Knotfest 2021!! I love rock, country, hip hop, rap, oldies, and pop! So glad to see you open to everything!
You need to do, Devil went down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band
Avenged Sevenfold - So far away.
We need more Nirvana!!
What a song dude. Embrace don't hate.
I feel like a lot of people who first listen to this song get jumpscared at the start lol
Wait,to bleed. One my favorite.
Yo jojo. "Oh fuck!" That's what it is supposed to do brv. Keep it up.
iprevail "gasoline" great video
Pantera - This Love
You should check six or this calling by all that remains. Like light to the flies or into the mouth of hell we March by trivium. Or the crimson by Atreyu
Couple of my favorite bands are Tool, Amorphis, Amon Amarth, and Paradise Lost. You should check them out.
The thing with Rock, (especially Metal) is that most often than not, it reaches deep inside of you and makes you FEEL. It grabs you by the heart. A lot of fucked up people that had of lot of fucked up things done to them, typically connect to this kind of music. 🤘💀🤘
If you listen to slipknot again, before I forget is a heavy song but it’s good and so is dead memories
Everyone Who I seen react to this song always gets scared at that intro😂 it’s just too funny to see it always
It's not about the actual devil. It's about the evil inside you. It's about fear. Fear you can't escape.
Honestly pretty tame compared to others in their catalogue, it'd be really cool to see you go down the insanely incredible and unique rabbit hole that is Slipknot!!!!
Jo jo: “that scared me”
Me: 🤘
Might want to check out Stone Sour for a palate cleanser. Same singer/guitarist, but quite a bit less intense. Through Glass you'll really like.
Surfacing and My Plague are great songs to check out.
you got SHOOKED
You should react to "leper messiah" by metallica! My 2nd favorite song from Master of puppets
Definitely check out Duality! That song is good.
There’s a great video of Jim root just playing this
You should read all lyrics. It's about the devil in all of us. Edit, you have Jesus with you, so no worries.
why do we do this? hard to explain but for me its a total rush and the music just has a totally liberating energy to it. I listen to a lot of different types of music but there's nothing like metal, I mean absolutely NOTHING once you get into it there's no going back, it grows on you and becomes almost a part of you. You start to embrace that feeling and just accept it, its litteraly a drug metal music is my fav to listen to, its my fav to play (i play bass btw) and i dont see how i could never not like it.
I had the same reaction to the intro like damm thought I wass gonna go deaf
Devil's and demons with in one's self. Self reflection
Its about a two old friends and one thought the other was bringing him down so he wants to be done with the relationship and they have gotten to this many times. Its basically a plea to get passed it and remain friends. At least that is my take. I think drugs play a role in the division as well.
Nero Forte, or Spit it Out (Live from Download Festival). or Sulfur, or Orphan.
This song isn't about devil worshipping, it's about getting rid of the worst parts of yourself, killing the devil inside you.
You should listen to psychosocial. It’s one of my favorites
Corey wrote this song from the grief of his band mate Paul Grey he passed away RIP Paul! 🙏🦋🦋🦋
This song is about Joey, ex drummer of band
Bro got jumpscared by a guitar
This song is about the getting rid of the demons inside of him.that why it's called the devil in i.
You need to watch the video.... 🤘🤘
Definitely do another Devil In I reaction for the music video please. It is a must.
Also, do the songs Unsainted and Left Behind for Slipknot, Stay Wide Awake by Eminem, and Buddy Holly by Weezer.
Dude ya gotta do Rammstein - Du Hast at Paris LIVE it is the best stage show ever! And believe me I have been to many shows in the last 40yrs! You will not regret it!!!
This song represents depression and suicide. The silent, bleeding wounds that nobody see's. The demons people hide in plain sight. Life's ups and downs. The Devil in I. The devil in everybody.
You gotta check out their earlier stuff like (Sic) and "People = Shit". The vocal delivery sounds very similar to that of rap.
Maybe next one should be Eyeless? from their first album
Try watching a live Slipknot song, they do some crazy **** drummer is, erm, elevated to new heights too.
If your a rap fan and enjoyed slipknot you might enjoy Spit it Out by Slipknot. He’s basically rapping in that one.
Save all your love by great white. One of the best 80’s rock ballads.
My interpretation of the lyrics goes two ways, one is betrayed and captured by a trusted ally, POW type stuff, or two metaphorical for ending an abusive and toxic relationship.
And if this messed you up avoid anything labeled shock core, I made that mistake once.
Recommendations.
Warrior by Ledger
Lucy by Skillet
Breath by me (found on my channel) if you want an independent artist for a change, any other song on my channel is fine 😁
🖤
Might be my favourite from them
React to their first two videos, Wait and Bleed and Spit It Out :)
