    every infantryman's best friend in the field. nothing like a warm pot of noodles when freezing your ass off during winter exercises.

      Used mine when I was a cadet. Squadron didn't allow personal stoves, so I snuck mine in. Nothing better than warm MRE"s with friends at midnight.

    Oh man, and indicator wire!? You guys think of everything. I know I'm coming across as a corporate shill here but I've had one of your stoves since '01 and it still works great. Sadly that means I can't justify buying this cool new stove any time soon (maybe in another 20 years?) but I wanted to say thanks for the great engineering. It's clear your products are designed by people who actually go camping regularly.

      Thanks for spreading the love and we are so happy to hear that your gear is reliable and long lasting (although fun new toys are always a bonus!).

    Always a good idea to let your burner go 'red' on the main ring before placing your pot on top. Sometimes it goes out in the wind without this step.

    Just bought this and can't remove the cup from the base. It looks like it's on crooked with part of the edge under the cozy. Afraid I'm going to break the stove if I apply any more pressure to try to remove the cup.

      I ran the plastic cap part under hot water and that worked to loosen it--I never wouldn't gotten it off otherwise.

    Is there a way to light this using a piezo lighter? I have failed so far (my other "open" stove lights just fine using a piezo).

    • @MSRGear
      @MSRGear  4 роки тому

      Hi Joakim, That's a good question. Unfortunately, piezo lights are only compatible with canister stoves, which is why it works with your other open flame stoves. Hope this helps!

    Can you simmer with this stove?

    • @MSRGear
      @MSRGear  3 роки тому +1

      It is possible, but if that is the main feature you are looking for in a stove, maybe you should check out the DragonFly as it has more flame control (www.msrgear.com/stoves/liquid-fuel-stoves/dragonfly/11774.html).
