Burrow's End has been incredible. Tula is so cool. I adore Brennan as a GM, but Aabria as GM and him as a PC in the same game is *chef's kiss*. It's the perfect combination to me.
Tula's reaction to Geoffrey's "not being here to defend himself" hits so close to home. I lost my dad suddenly, and seeing similar reactions of her family reflected in my own mother and siblings really struck a chord with me. Tula has easily become one of my absolute favorites.
@anniebell6846 yes this really hit close to home for me in a few ways... as a mom to an adhd kid I related to the way Tula interacts w/ Jayshon, but also from Lilas POV as someone who lost their dad at a young age and was angry and full of blame for a long time.
@@lacey892this is why you have multiple kids, the kid with ADHD gets the attention of the siblings they now all the kids are focused on getting the wild one to calm down (I was the ADHD kid(
I also felt this way. I lost my dad this past summer, and the relationship between Ava and Tula fits my mom and I to a T. In one of the adventuring party episodes, Brennan said that Tula and Ava were so similar and their main difference was that Tula was honest about the world being scary and it resonated so much with me.
Im an autistic + adhd person. Brennan’s insights into and way of explaining human behaviour is consistently one of the most relatable And useful and has genuinely helped me cope and adapt to life.
Brennan describing himself as a teacher's pet... uh, yeah. We know. That's quite possibly one of the most obvious things about you, Brennan. As someone who is no-contact with my family, the, "I can't put more effort into being a daughter," sentiment was so affirming. I hope we get a 'Hellion Tula' flashback or more references to her youthful behavior (i.e. 'hoe-ing' as Brennan put it in AP).
Not to complain, but there is an editing mistake at 13min. The question asked doesn’t match Brennan’s answer, and then after his answer the same question is asked again, now with an appropriate response.
29:47 Eiichiro Oda, creator of One Piece, was once asked why the manga had so many dads, blood or found, but NO moms. He said, "'Mother' is an antonym for 'adventure.'" Tula being a "living, breathing refusal of the call" makes total sense. And I can't imagine it ending well. Should be fun!
And yet, there are few greater ventures into the unknown than motherhood. Brennan references a great adventure tale starring a mother, Secret of Nimh. Sounds to me like Eiichiro Oda just doesn't know how to write (or is totally uninterested in) that kind of story.
Talking about stoats in the same way you would talk about people is very funny to me for some reason. Tula is probably 6 the maximum age a stoat can be, so, to say she was a teen means probably 2 years ago, maybe less. Female stoats are bred as early as 10 weeks old. Yes, i understand this a fantasy and all. It just made the literal side of my brain giggle.
Do a Fantasy High follow up where ever character went to college and is drowned is dept, caused by a bored Beholder who took over the education department.
"Anger is a great spackle over grief [...] 'Dad's gone; let's make it his fault'" sir you did not have to come for me like that.

Me too was almost in tears listening to Brennan , I heard my mum in his portrayal

Man I love listening to dnd players get nerdy about their character motivations
Revisiting this interview after Brennan and Izzy’s news; they’re gonna do great! 💕🥳
Im an autistic + adhd person. Brennan’s insights into and way of explaining human behaviour is consistently one of the most relatable

There are few things more becoming of a person's character than being willing to sing another person's praises for their hard work

I see Brennan, I click
This.
Caitlin has such great questions!
Just wanna mention that Brennan's junk room having junk in it is relatable
I admire Brennan so much. Great interview!
How would you put it? “Beleaguered”. I really hope they figure out how to protect Brennen from his own workaholism, and he doesn’t burn out.
I don't know who is in charge of the chapter titles, but the woman's name is Aabria, not Aria nor Adrienne.
i love these interviews with the d20 cast :D
You got to go back to Starstruck, please! ❤
Escape From the Bloodkeep! We need a follow up! Leland Jr deserves it!

Eichiiro Oda also said “let me rehabilitate the public image of my friend who got caught with so much CP the cops thought he was a dealer” so
why did they yassify him in the thumbnail
Pretty sure Brennan is incapable of saying anything that is not incredibly deep in some way.
Philosophy majors tend to be that way. I love listening to them talk
Brennan’s airbrushed face in the thumbnail is horrifying
Ummm Actually Brennan it's Mrs Frisby.😅
Ah, a fellow reader of the book! For those not aware: the movie had change the name to Brisby to avoid any conflicts with the Frisbee company.
Ahhh, interesting! Guess I don't get that Shiny Question!

A second Dungeons and Drag Queens has been announced.
